Virtually nothing in this article is true. The first clue at to how intelligent the author of this diatribe is the reference to "former Senator Byrd". As nearly everyone but this rocket scientist knows, Senator Byrd is still in the Senate doing his best to cause grief to Republicans. Anyone who does not know that does not have enough grasp of facts to opine on anything beyond what's for lunch. Members of Congress have been required to be covered by Social Security since 1983.

I have found the following web site that disputes the claim of the legislators receiving this "Golden Fleece Retirement". http://www.breakthechain.org/exclusives/pensions.html I don't know which is correct, but it should be thoroughly researched prior to posting for the public. Thank you.
