Betting offshore gives you no protection whatsoever and benefits no one..the betting public or the horsemen (I have owned racehorses on and off for 15 years), as the pools are not commingled with(added to) the total handle that is added from US sites, off-track, simulcasting, etc. Granted, there was very limited resources to bet online for the Preakness, thanks to Frank Stronach and Magna's "exclusive" signal for their tracks (Pimlico, Santa Anita, Golden Gate, just to name a few), but they are there, including Magna's own Expressbet, headquartered in your own state. Unfortunately, being offshore, you have little recourse.
