Allied Interstate They sent my money orders back! ripoff Columbus Ohio
The other day I received (via USMail) three of the six money orders I have sent to these guys. They came with a generic form with an X placed beside the line which reads: Limited Endorsement on the check. Ex--paid in full, settlement in full, final payment, etc).
Does anyone know what this means? They haven't called me here at work for a long time, and this is the first time they've sent me anything in the mail.
I thought that if a bill collector refused payment that the bill would be considered paid. Is this true?
Also, can they take my income tax refund? It's not just in my name--I file jointly with my husband. He's not aware of this whole mess because the credit card in question was in my name only, and he didn't know I had it.
