Contractor, Allied Moving Group, agreed to provide 5 packers and to complete packing and loading in 5 hours. Two packers arrived 1/2 day late with a small truck and took two days to pack and load 2/3's of our belongings. When the truck was full the packers left with the truck.

During packing, the driver (Aaron) left on several occasions in the partially loaded truck and was observed by neighbors to be speeding over bumps that bounced the truck in the air. A result of which was damage to the loaded goods.

The dispatcher (Michelle) called repeatedly and threatened to hold our goods indefinitely and to charge us to retrieve them. The calls were so insistent as to be considered by us to be harrassment.

Due to the incomplete move, there was delay in the sale of our home and the purchase of the home to which we were to be moving. As a result we incurred unplanned expenses, including hotel bills, meals, and kenneling of pets. Because the sales rep refused to send an estimator and the truck that arrived was too small for the load, we incurred bills for truck and trailer rentals, as well as paying extra packers to complete the removal of our contents from our home.

Upon completion of unloading the contents, the mover shouted at and insulted us in our home and yard resulting in fear for my safety, and attracting the attention of neighbors.

Driver covered Allied Moving Group letterhead with Golan Van Lines stickers before handing papers to us. We did not receive a statement of weight.

Actual charges were $6,400+ rather than $4300+ quote.

The company promised to provide all packing materials, but our goods were packed within our own luggage, baskets, and boxes, using my expensive sheets, towels, coverlets, curtains and blankets as packing materials.

ALL clothing was removed from hangars and thrown into wardrobe boxes. Shoes were dumped and crammed into suitcases.

Among the items left in the house were parts of beds, television and stereo equipment, appliances and furniture, canned goods, vacuum cleaners, many pictures and wall hangings, lamps.

In response to this report,Allied Moving Group, does recognize the issue. We did book this customer. This customer's move was in June of last year. That time of the year is very busy for any moving company. It got so busy that we tried to reschedule her move for another day which the customer said was not possible. So we asked Golan Van Lines to pick up Mrs. Fleming as a courtesy. However, we did not expect for all these issues to arise. We do appologize for any inconvience Mrs. Fleming had on her move and as I understand we did all we could to make sure the matter was resolved by Golan Van Lines. We take full responsibility even though we were not the company that picked her up or delivered her only booked her. From this experience we have taken all the precautions to make sure this does not happen again.
