Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

my garage caught fire. we live out in the middle of nowhere. they have to drive the water in for a fire. it took the fire department 45 minutes alone to show up.

I took pictures of everything that was remotely left. most of my belongings had just decentagrated! my husband had started school for auto body/ collision repair. the tools required for the class alone cost us close to 10k. if anyone has taken these classes, then they are fully aware of the tools that are needed. many are specialty tools. now cheep!

we had just got a brand new riding lawn tractor, trimmer, chain saw, n tiller. all steil brand. we had an upright freezer and i had just went to the meat market the day before and purchaced $400.00 in meat. all my christmas items were in the rafters. i had antique sewing machines that my grandmother left me when she died.

the garage was packed full! they did not believe that "poor" people would have such things in the garage. yes this would normally be true. considering that most would have been in the bacement provided that my basement hadent flooded due to major rain a few weeks before and destroid many many old personal possions.

allstate would not cover the damage due to the flooding of the bacement. so basically lost most personal pictures, drawings, report cards etc. that i had kept for my three children as they grew. allstate claimed that they could not replace personal items.

i had a hope chest the was given to my grandmother on her wedding day. them it went to my mother on her wedding day . then it went to me on my wedding day. it will never go to my daughter on her wedding day.

the file cabnet with all my personal papers, including many leagal documents, my mortgage papers, deed, the reciepts for  most of the items that were in the garage. since i could not produce all the reciepts, they would not cover most of the items in the garage. i could and tried to show them pictures of the garage with many of the items clearly shown.

i was told that that was not proof because i could have "pawned" them before the fire. there was close to probably 50k plus in the garage. we recieved a check for less that 15k. our coverage was 150k.

the money i was given i could get a medium size tool box n tools, replaced all the new lawn equiptment, and the above ground pool. the only reason i was able to clam the pool was i had just baught it that morning and i still had the reciept in my purse. they only replaced the pool and not or the chemicals or cleaning suplies that go with the pool. the were on the reciept! they said they could only give me a depreciated value. the thing was still in the box and the other suplies were still in the bag! what depreation? so my reciept said $1000.00 plus and i got $399.00 for it all. she asked why i had so many things of value with my income. sorry how is it really their business how i make money or get things! so i simply told her the truth, my husband got a partial payment on and inharentence. this is why we had many, many new items in the garage. i had probably a good 5k in just lawn equiptment alone. had three trimmers. two brush trimers, total three chain saws, rakes, brooms, yard sweeper, post hole digger three bicycles, pull behind trailer for my antique trike. i have a disabled daughter, so i had gotten her a bike just to improve the function in her hips. i dont know what it was called, i think street strider or glider?  but looked somewhat like this. www.elliptigo.com , let just say not cheap!! took a year of yard cleanning n selling popcorn n candy bars!

i had several yard games, crocet, badmittin, horse shoes, ring toss, botche ball n five bowling balls in their custom bags. a full boxing set up, punching bag, speed bag, two pair boxing gloves. three set of cross country skis with boots, two compound bows, arrows etc. target bag and a cross bow. not even to mention all my fishing equiptment! i have spent a lot on my fishing.

i dont even want to get into my wood working equiptment, router, table saw, lathe, chisels, bits, sanders, etc...

the topper was two of the barn cats were in the garage.

the sad thing is they r still my ins company for our new house. this year the bacement had flooded when we had those major storms went through at the end of may beginning june. the rains have the sidewalk next to the house to sink. they are leanning into the house and the rain just flowes streight down the outside of the foundation and into the basement. lost some siding and several fences were knocked down. lol, and the new half size pool i could get is now destroied because the wind bent the pools n put one of them right through the side of the pool. they have not even returned my calls.

so needless to say i am and was not very happy.

what type of company will rip off the disabled n handicaped??

allstate aparently!
