I had gone to the store to purchase a mattress for a guest room and took the weekly flyer with me that comes in my mailbox. When I finally got a salesperson, and I asked where the mattress was that was advertised, he showed me a "junky" mattress that was totally unlike the photo I had in my hand.

These ads come weekly, but yet when you go to the store, you are shown something that doesn't in any way shape or form match the advertisement.

I also on several occasions had a difficult time being waited on, as they seemed to cater to couples, perhaps thinking I am not a "serious" buyer. My husband is a busy person and does not involve himself in any purchases, large or small or shopping.

When I called the 1-800 to dream number today to get the corporate address so that I could send them copies of the advertisements, they refused to give it to me, and just tried to pawn me off to another number.

I did try to send them an email, though I doubt I will get any response. I am up to the challenge of American Mattress making this a positive experience for me, and me reversing this feedback...any takers on whether or not this will happen?

Having worked at American Mattress for nearly two years I will tell you that the chances of you getting anywhere with them is very slim. Not impossible but slim. If you do get a mattress from them and you need it inspected, because of mattress failure or breakdown and you call the 1800todream number, this is what will happen. They will send someone out at some weird hour or day, then they will tell you that it doesn't have enough wear (it must be at least 1/8 deep) or that there is a stain and that makes the warrantee null and void. Ask the person that you have there looking at your mattress. If his name is Jeff/Frank/Scott beware these are on of the owners and they will lie and tell you that they are not. If it is a guy named mario then he a relative of Scott/Frank and have him tell you how to get ahold of the owners. By the way they have lawyers on retainer and they will stall and stall time and again so be ready for a fight.
