At the location here in South Jersey, I really did not experience any of the problems expressed in this report. I was first told to go look at the frames while waiting for my exam, and each pair of frames was clearly marked with a price, and very clear signage explaining what 2 pair would cost (2 marked 49.95 for 69.95, 2 marked 59.95 for 99.95 etc). After picking out a frame I liked, clearly marked at 59.95, I knew from paying attention to the signage in the store that it would cost me 99.95 for the pair. After the exam, I was given the option to purchase a package that included scratch-resistant coating, UV, tint option, and a warranty, and was clearly told how much extra this would cost. Then I was given the option of a no-glare coating and was clearly told how much extra this option would cost. There was no high-pressure tactics here, and no deception. I suspected going in that these options would end up costing more if I wanted them, just like at any other chain. Perhaps less savvy consumers would be surprised that you are not going to get all the bells and whistles on 2 pair of glasses for 69.95, short of ordering from an internet outlet, but those of us who pay attention know better.
