I've bought lots of things through iTunes (music, movies, audiobooks, TV Series, etc.), and there are a lot of issues that are causing me to lose my purchased content.

Music:  Often times I buy very specific music albums or singles. As an example, I bought a series of decade music; 70's, 80's, and 90's.  I downloaded them right away.  The music was great.  Fast forward a couple of weeks, and the music changed!  I no longer had the orginal downloads with the original artists, but instead had Karaoke music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's by knockoff artists (yes, I no longer even had the 90's, but the 60's in it's place)!  So, it wasn't Def Leppard singing and playing, but some bar-band.  It wasn't Van Halen, it was two highschool kids in the caffeteria (at least that's what it sounded like).  Other albums were simply switched from the one that I bought to one that I would never buy.  As an example, I bought a Michael Jackson album that had all of the hits I liked on it, but when I downloaded it it was a different album that had only some of the songs on it that i like, and others that I can't stand, and would have never purchased.  Also, I've bought album sets and one of the sets has been supplanted by an album I didn't buy.  As an example, I bought Credence Clearwater Revival's "Chronicals", which is a huge two album set.  What I got was some off CCR album and the second half of "Chronicals".

Audiobooks:  I've bought a tone of Audiobooks off iTunes, and just recently, which prompted this RipOffReport, they've started disappearing from my library, and since you can't download them again from iTunes, and not even after calling customer support after about 3 months, I've lost a lot of my purchases!  For instance, I bought the trillogy Star Wars:  Darth Bane, and while listening to one of them, I learned that the second half was no longer on my iPhone, so, hooked it up to my computer and tried to sync it back onto my phone, to no avail.  It wouldn't transfer.  My phone simply wouldn't copy it.  I then put it into iBooks, and it wouldn't do that either, so, I just tried to listen to it on my Mac, only to learn that there was no content in the file that I was trying to listen to.  It was simply a file folder that was still reporting sizeable MB content, but there was no content to play.  I rebooted my computer, and the file disappeared, now, I don't have the file at all, ergo, the book is lost.

T.V. Series:  I bought a T.V. show called Scorpion, but when the shows started coming out, it forced me to pay for each show.  The cover page for the show even showed that I paid for it, but there was no reciept for the purchase on the account, and even though I had the reciept from Apple in my email, they refused to both refund my money, and they said no to clearning me to have the show!  To this day, the show still indicates that I purchased it.  Other disappearing pre-purchases included The Americans, and Game of Thrones.

When I talk to customer service they are appathetic towards the issue, and they claim that that's not happening, and that they've never heard of this issue before.  However, reading these forms I see that others are having similar issues, where some of it they've traced back to other "free" applications where the administrators of those cites might be the culprits.  But, that's not what I'm talking about here.  I'm talking about getting blatantly ripped off by Apple / iTunes.

And, before you waste your time trying to rebuff my report, remember, I'm living this, and I am speaking form experience.  I've seen it.  I can prove everything I've said here (email reciepts, screen shots of "purchase" for Scorpion, no reciept for non-purchased CCR album, reciept for whole purchased CCR album along with the second half of the Chronicals, telephone recordings with Apple / iTunes, etc.  Also, don't think that everyone has a lot of time and money to start suing Apple over something like this, I don't.  I've spent about 40 hours on the phone with them and they refuse to even see the proof, and anything short of getting a lawyer for $5,000, you can forget it!
