Unfortunately, you have fallen for the classic moving scam. You should never have utilized an online mover - this is where the unscrupulous movers reside, and they got you with their non-binding contract. My guess is they're trying to blame you for the increase in price - after all, you had more stuff than you thought you had. It's a classic. You would have been better off using one of the large full-service moving companies - it probably would have been less in the long run. You may have also signed a document that signed away your right for someone to come and inspect the house before the move - otherwise they wouldn't have given you a quote based on the size of the house...? Unfortunately, you need to pay the rest of what they owe you and then try to sue them in small claims court for the difference between your quote and what they ended up invoicing you for. Check your documents to see if there is any restriction on where they can be sued. Otherwise, you can sue them where you currently live.....
