Avoid this company at all costs. This was my only choice for TV in my apartment complex so we used them for a few months. The service is awful, the TV would go out for several days in a row (even when it worked in the other room and it was sunny outside). We had the DVR and there were several times when we would turn it on and it would say that the DVR had to reboot and it would erase everything on it!

Although the service was bad, the billing was the worst. We signed up for automatic payment from our checking account. Apparently it took some time to get set up so it wasn't charged the 1st month. I received a bill later saying I was late and owed for 2 months (total of $140). That's fine, I immediately paid it online. Well, 1 week goes by and they decide that the automatic withdrawl is ready so they take out ANOTHER $140 payment! I basically paid 4 months of service in 1 month.

I called customer service and her response is "well you gave us permission to withdrawl from your account, so we did". Unbelievable. My response was "you only have permission when I owe money!". I've never yelled at a customer service rep before (I used to be one), but after 20 minutes of bickering with this lady, I think I was screaming. The end result was that I paid for a couple months in advance and didn't get a bill.

Last month I called about my DVR not working. They said a tech could come out to take a look anytime between 8am and 8pm. A 12 hour window! So, am I supposed to take a day off work and loose a full day's wages to wait for them? Most companies give you a 4-6 hour window. I decided to cancel the service. I had it turned off on Oct 20th, the last day I had already paid for service. I returned receivers, and I thought I was good to go! Well I look at my bank account yesterday and they withdrew ANOTHER $70 from my bank account, a full month after I cancelled my service! And for those of you wondering, the service is billed ahead each month, so this new $70 charge is not for services I've already received. ATT isn't open to call yet, but I'm planning another big battle today.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I used to have cell phone service with Cingular(Att Mobility), My bill was 80 dollars a month one time. then next month went to 84. dollars, then 87 dollars, then turn around 90 dollars. How mysterious when att start going up on the cell phone bill. Wow. Is it ironic why ATT was split up in 1984. This is the reason why. They started ripping off customers. By the way, I had so many unused minutes that were piling up. I hardly ever use my cell phone. I was thinking about getting a new cell phone. I have been doubted in obtaining one. I do not want to wound up in a trap. I want to make this heard in the public. ATT will suffer at the hands of the US government when it comes to monopoly practice. CEO needs to give up his stock options and lower the cell phone bills. I think its harsh to tack on 5 dollars for each person to pay because people get delinquent on bills. This is another reason why I don't like att. Anyways, I am hoping one day that this practice will come to a screeching halt. To an Attorney, This would be a good class action lawsuit that can be filed to make ATT follow the laws of the land instead of laws of the corporate hearts. My suggestion is letting the US representatives vote on break up of different companies.
