Only commercial accounts are eligible for labor claims. If a customer buys a part and it fails, the warranty covers the cost of the part or a replacement, but not the cost of the labor.

There still has been no movement with Autozone. I pulled the motor from the donor truck and pulled their piece of junk out. The truck, even with an used motor runs better than Autozone's piece of crap ever could have. Now I'm stuck with this engine that can only be used as a boat anchor that I don't need since I don't own a boat. Folks, this is what I learned about Autozone: 1. Autozone may be a great choice for oils, filters, air fresheners, and other items that are sold in bulk and are not particular to Autozone only. There's no way these people can screw up a quart of oil that was processed, packaged, and delivered by Castrol Oil Company. 2. There are three classifications for nearly all their parts. Rebuilt is just that. A core part is taken apart and cleaned. If the internal part looks like it can be reused it is, if it can't be reused another used or new part is put in. Remanufactured uses new parts, usually just the housing is used. Then there is brand spanking new. 3. Be very careful when major items, such as engines and transmissions are purchased from Autozone. The supervisor at the rebuilders said that they don't want to buy the suppliers premium rebuilt engines, it cuts too far into the profit margins, but they buy the low end rebuilds, then charge more. After it was all said and done, I found a Texas rebuilder that would have sold the same type of engine with better parts less expensive. Autozone makes sure their profit is protected while leaving the customer dangling. 4. As with any company, a guarantee, such as my 3 year, unlimited miles, replacement at any Autozone Store in the nation, $400 for labor guarantee is only good as the company that gives it. Obviously, since the engine is sitting on a garage floor Autozone's guarantee is not worth a scrap of toilet paper. There, you've been warned. My motto with Autozone is, "Fooled me once, shame on you. Fooled me twice, shame on me." Well, I'm not goning back to RipoffZone to let them fool me twice, lesson learned.
