As an Arkansas boy myself, I thought that I wouldn't purchase a mower built "commercial tough" in my home state. The reviews looked good overall, and I was very impressed with my initial test run on the mower. I was also pleased with the performance the first season that I had the mower. I mow 2 1/2 acres of level ground weekly during the Summer months. My 2 year warranty expired this Spring, burn I only have 61 hours of use on the mower, so interested is essentially new. Last week my PTO switch went out. The dealer told me that they have had to replace a lot of these. Cost was $150. While into was in the shop, the service Mann told me that my spindle bearings were in really bad shape. What? A commercial build mower with only 60 hours? Replacement cost is several hundred bucks. I called Bad Boy customer service, and they told me that it wasn't because I washed the mower deck. They said that the "sealed" bearings shouldn't get wet from washing the mower. I couldn't believe it. I told them that I was very disappointed in their "commercial grade" product to which they answered, "OK, have a nice day!" Never again. Don't say you weren't warned.
