Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
It seems today that Customer Service was a trait that was just not handed down through Mom and Pop businesses. While nearly every major retailer is at fault for poor customer service, I will not dwell into the Lowe's, Home Depot, Target, Circuit City, or Walmart. Today, its about Best Buy and my fun experience over the past few days.

Issue-Looking for a new desktop, current desktop. HP Pavilion 532. Outdated, yes but still works.

Looking for a new HP, I like HP's, I have always had good luck with them. Ok. Enough of that.

Scroll through the various ads that are new here. Find that Best Buy has the HP8200n, Printer AiO, and a 19 Wide screen Monitor for 899.00.

My wife and I decide to head over there to see what the deal was on that one, Well the HP rep was there and talking to us. Telling us how much the model we wanted to get is bad and that we should pay 150 more for a shiny case. Trying to sell us the flashy gaming computer. I don't play many computer games, the occasional Sim City is about it. Seriously, the HP rep there is horrible. Why do I need a flashy case, for 150 dollars more? He then mentions that the power switch is on the top of the case, stating if I am leaning on it, it may shut off. Seriously, how many people lean on their computers? Yep new computer is not my ottoman? Seems logical.

Enough of him.

Buy the HP8200n package, some photo paper, and a Nvidia 8400GS graphics card.

Get home set it up and wow there is a DVI port on the monitor, Hey the graphics card has DVI as well!

Cool, set it up. NO DVI.

Many phone calls and a trip later to Best Buy G33K squad and they tell me I should have brought in the Computer when I drove 30 minutes to bring in the monitor and Vid card. Customer Service only told me I needed the monitor and Vid Card. Marvelous.

Ok, next step, Call HP, HP tells me my monitor only accepts DVI-D. The graphics card only outputs DVI-I. Why does HP or Best Buy not tell customers these things?

Next day, Return graphics card and keep the package.

Oh yea, when we left with the package, No thanks, No thanks for shopping here, Enjoy your computer, Hell they didn't even say Goodbye.

So Best Buy and G33K Squad, how about some customer service, how about some real help, like ATI, and Computer Bay, and Tiger Direct.

They seem to have customer service down. Plus no outsourcing. We get to talk to real American English speaking people.

Shame on you Best Buy, Shame on you.
