I find this very hard to believe. I am the one usually gripping about a company, but i saw this and had to take 10 minutes to register with ripoff and then respond to this customer.
I have purchased tires from this company 3 times and every time the tires were as good (if not better) than described by them. I wish the shipping was cheaper for me since it cost as much for me to get tires as it does for the guy in california and I live in Pennsylvania. But they have never lied to me. Or misled me about the purchase. In most cases the tires are new but out dated stock or discontinued stock (according to the tire shop I go to) but they are still new and in great shape. The used ones (which I bought once) are usually 70 or 80 percent tread. But for around 12.00 more you can buy the new ones they sell. For this reason I find this hard to believe that this story is true. I worked for 3 years with AAA Motorclub repairing tires and replacing batteries, and this company beat the cheapest place in Erie Pa. by about 20.00 a tire, considering I was putting on a BF goodrich or Michelin as opposed to some off brand tire.

I have dealt with Best Used Tires and had a similar situation where the tire I received had a small nail near the side wall. After sending a picture to them they sent me another tire and told me not to send the tire back. The next tire had a small slit near the bead and it was also replaced. I did not notice the slit but the installer did see it. The next tire was perfect but the wrong size. That tire was sent back and I received the right tire which has been great. I was out $30.00 for remounting one or two tires but it did not cost me $200 plus for a new tire. Could they have done a better inspection job, Yes. Their customer service was great! Sullivan Florida
