I preordered a Nintendo Wii from the company in the middle of November. I emailed the company on November 11th for a shipping date and to voice concerns that the company has changed web addresses three times since my purchase (it was besttoys2006.ecrater.com, then besttoysoftheyear.ecrater.com, and now it is besttoysoftheyear.com). I was told it would be shipped the end of that week and that I would receive a tracking number.

I emailed them twice the following week after there wasn't any indication that it had been shipped and have yet to hear a response. I had paid using Paypal, and have put a claim against the company. I have noticed that the company email has changed several times on the Paypal site since I placed my order.

Most of the email addresses listed have no connection to the site at all. Just to list a few there is [email protected], one for a watercraft website, and the current one is [email protected]. I have contacted Paypal and they cannot seem to get in touch with the company either.

There did use to be two different phone numbers under the contact information for the company, but they have since been removed (They didn't answer them anyway). The one previously listed is 409-330-4518. I can't remember the other one.

Another red flag is that when I attempted to leave feedback on the site for the company, my negative feedback was deleted. This happened to several other negative feedbacks left on the site. This has since seemed to stop (The true reflections of the various consumers that have been wronged are also being voiced now for all to see, minus mine and several others that were deleted). The only positive feedback on there is from people that didn't bother to wait for the merchandise to arrive before leaving feedback.

All the signs point to this company being a fraud. Hopefully people will see this before they too get scammed. If this is a legit company then they have a very shady way of doing business.

Just to give an update here the crooks at this website have still not issued me a refund or given me any merchandise. I feel comfortable calling them crooks at this point because that is what they are. IT HAS BEEN THREE MONTHS!!!!! That is more than enough time for this matter to be resolved, and I do not believe for a second that they have any intention of resolving it. It is obvious that I will have to take this matter up to the next level. And they have the nerve to continue running the website, thats what really gets me steams me.

I am not sure why you didn't receive my money from Paypal, because I definitely don't have it anymore. Perhaps it is true that my order fell through the cracks, but if thats the case I have certainly made every effort on my end to rectify that. I have attempted two different means of contacting you, and have also submitted the claim through Paypal which has not received a response. I am still fearful that the few hundred dollars I spent will be lost forever. I never received any email updates regarding this problem, and I do check my email and spam filters daily. I would not have even filed a claim had there not been so many red flags raised making me believe its a scam. I really do not consider it unreasonable that I have not received it yet, and if a date was given of when it would be shipped and you stuck by that then I wouldn't even be complaining. The total lack of communication is what made me most concerned. If you are not a fraud than I apologize, but your customer service certainly needs improvement if you are going to have repeat customers. I am just hoping that I either get what I paid for or get a refund, and at this point I am still not confident I will ever see either one of them.

I've tried several times to locate the website that you reference in your post, to no avail. I've removed the spaces that you put into your post, again, to no avail. Since I'm an avid online shopper (as the mother of many children and a new grandchild), I'm always interested in online stores, and watching for those that I should be aware of. Unfortunately, your info keeps coming up as 'NOT FOUND' through the various search engines that pop up when an incorrect web address is put into the addy bar. I used copy and paste, then copy and paste removing the spaces, then physically typing the addy in as you posted. None of these methods work, which only lend credence to the OP's writings. And your rebuttal to this might be?????

The Best Toys of the year store at ecrater was setup with a Google checkout. That store was deleted when all of the refunds were made through that checkout process. Hence, the comments of people like Torey, who apparently did not follow what was happening to us with Google, were also deleted. We made absolutely sure that everyone that had made a purchase, received a refund along with an explanation of why they were being refunded and a url was also posted on each refund to insure that each person knew where we had gone and why. The url for best toys at the www. deltavisuals. com / besttoysoftheyear .htm was posted on each cancellation that was refunded through Google checkout. Delta Visuals is the host for Best Toys and other sites, which is why those email addresses have no connection to Best Toys. Paypal has contacted us and we are attempting to resolve that issue thru them. (the purchase made prior to Nov 18). Paypal had blocked our account from the store because according to them, we had too much activity on our account, which is why we moved to Google (we were dealing with TIME! and Christmas orders). Google claimed they were processing payouts to us as quickly as they could get to them; however, we never received one payout. I have written proof of this!!! A copy of the payout page is also posted on that same webpage. After several emails (which was the only way they will communicate), we finally moved to a larger server, found a merchant account who could actually process our payments timely and we proceeded to refund everyone at the Google checkout. We felt time was passing too quickly for those who were anxious enough already. We were simply trying to offer them the ability to either come to our new site or make their purchases elsewhere. We posted the url as an explanation on each refund so that everyone receiving a refund would be aware of what had happened. Our email server was being choked down with so many repetitive emails, we were overwhelmed with trying to keep up with whom we had already answered and who still needed to be answered. Hence, we chose to use the webpage notification. We chose not to post a phone number because we have been so busy trying to answer emails and continue to process incoming orders. We do use some drop shipping services and prices are being raised by some of those vendors. We have apologized but we have no choice but to raise our prices ONLY by the amount that has been increased to us. We are still actively searching for the best prices for our customers and we continue to post those prices. We do not believe we have been dishonest and have no intention of being so. This is our first year in business and we hope to be available to our customers for many years and to provide excellent service. We are sorry for the way circumstances with Google tripped us up; but please be aware that we had no control over their not processing our payouts. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANYONE'S MONEY!!!! We admit we've had a rough start due to this, but we will persevere. We pray those of you who feel you have been injured will forgive us and we hope those of you who have come to the new site will enjoy your purchases.
