I have ordered items from this place before and have gotten them in a relatively timely manner. Therefore, I was a bit shocked when 2 items I ordered and paid for were never delivered. I checked their web site and it stated that the items had been shipped out and were at the sortation center for USPS in California. There was a tracking number listed, but when I checked with USPS, FedEx, and UPS just to be sure, none of them had any record of anything with that tracking number.

It is now Sept 28th. I ordered these items on Sept 2nd and according to their own information, these items have been sitting in California since Sept 8th.

When I first contacted Bidz.com I was asked to be patient and wait until the 21st, which I did. When the 21st came and went with no package I contacted them again. They told me I needed to fill out a bunch of paperwork, pay to have it notarized and send it back to them. When I tried to ask if I would get the money back for the notary or the shipping and handling I was told to have a nice day and was then disconnected.

I have taken this up with Paypal. Bidz.com has cancelled my membership now so I am no longer able to check the status of another order I placed around the same time. If I need to pay the shipping, handling, and notary fees for 3 items, plus a possible 15% restocking fee for items I never even received (which their own site says) I will end up spending almost what I paid them.

This has been the single worst shopping experience of my life and I have told every person I know to never use Bidz.com. They should be shut down.

I do realize that there is a help section and that they have thoroughly explained how they will screw people over, but that does not make it right especially when the items were never even received and they acknowledge that.

I am still waiting for 2 items, but the item I ordered last finally arrived. It should've been here a long time ago, but I am happy it is finally here. Now I am only out about $50 for the 2 items I ordered over a month ago.

PayPal Dispute

After looking through the account to evaluate the option of refunding without the claims documents which we require for all lost/damaged packages, I saw there was a PayPal dispute on account. I realize that going through PayPal is a good way to ensure the money will be refunded, but our billing department will not refund any merchandise that PayPal is attempting to collect on as well. The reason we do this is because when disputes arise through PayPal, they advise us they may debit our account on behalf of the customer without prior notification. If we are in the process of a refund and the account is debited, the user stands to receive two refunds. In situations like these, it is common for us to request the PayPal dispute be dropped. At that time, the customer can be refunded the total amount. Should the dispute be dropped and the refund rendered, the only stipulation would be that your account will remain deactivated since we did not recieve your statements of loss. If I can inform my billing department of your intention to drop the dispute, I will argue for the return of the funds in full. My hope is that if sending in notarized claims forms is not an option, that you please consider dropping the dispute so that your case would be in good standing to receive a full refund.

I am willing to give this a shot altough I know from other people's postings taht there is very little if anything that will come from this. The invoice # from one of the shipments is 2785068. Please do not bother giving me the ususal line about filling out the paperwork for the insurance company. Your own site states that I never got the item so that would be a lie.
