Bikeberry.com is selling 48cc engine kits as 80/66cc. they are only 48cc not 80/66cc. they have a practice of sending different parts(not what orderd) and refusing to correct errors.

I just wrote a report on an experience I had with bikeberry. I'm just posting this info for others considering getting into motorized bicycle building as a hobby or business. This is from my experience as a mb builder; I build and sell one a week. It's lucrative and fun. First of all, the 49, 66/80cc engines are all mfg in China. I've purchased kits from bikeberry, gasbike.net and eBay. Guess what? They are all the same. Bikeberry claims to have the best engines with needle bearings and best crankshaft bearings, blah, blah, blah. All the ones I've bought from these different sources have the same. Bikeberry has great how-to videos and you should use those to answer any questions about building these or for mods you can do later. I have been buying the Silver Slant kit from gasbike.net for $119 and compared with a Flying Horse engine from bikeberry; same hp (2.75hp), same dimensions same performance. Bikeberry may show h*o of 5-6 h*o. This is max h*o at 6,000 rpm. All 66/80cc engines do this. The big difference between the 2 is price. Bike berry charges $179+ for the same kit. Here's what you can do to improve bottom line even more. Get your basic kit for $130 or less (eBay or gasbike.net); put it on a $79 Walmart Huffy. Sell it for $440-500 on Craigslist. I sell one per week at these prices, BTW. Next, save your profits, then buy same engines even cheaper from China on alibaba.com. Search "motorized bicycles," or 80cc bicycles there and you can find min order of 5+ for only $60 each kit. You do the math. This is how bikeberry gets their engines. You will even find their Newest kit selling for $299 on bikeberry website for only $90-120 on alibaba. It's the one with electric starter/pull start option. Have fun guys/gals. Keep this hobby affordable and make your money at the same time if you want to.

Hello Dougangle,
If you received the incorrect kit, please contact us directly at 1800-317-0479. We will be happy to resolve the issue and replace the engine with the correct engine. We make every effort to process all orders with 100% accuracy. Although rare, there are instances where human error does happen. If this happens, we will correct the mistake quickly and at no cost.
Please do keep in mind that as there is no disguinishing marks on the 66cc and 48cc engines. As well, given the small size difference, it is often time very difficult to tell the difference between the two engine sizes. In order to determine if the engine is a 48cc or 66cc, you can remove the head of the engine and measure the diameter of the piston. The 48cc engine will have a 40mm diameter while the 66cc engine will have a 47mm diameter.
Our records do show that at the time of your order, we were out of stock of the 48cc engine kit, so it would be very unlikely that the incorrect engine was shipped to you. However, if in fact the wrong size was sent, please do let us know and we will be happy to correct the issue for you.
Thank you for letting us know of this issue and giving us the opputunity to fix it.
