Be advised that DJ Enns and Black Bear Island Lodge are practicing shady business tactics, such as taking money from potential clients and disappearing. Where I come from, we call that stealing.
Mr. Enns arranged a hunt for my client and four other members of his party, then cancelled the hunting party after an initial deposit of several thousand dollars had already been paid.
DJ Enns, Black Bear Island Lodge, and their associates are aware of their outstanding financial obligation, however, they refuse to honor it and have been very non communicative regarding this matter.
Numerous calls, messages and emails have been placed for Mr. Enns, none of which have been returned. When Mr. Enns informed my client that the hunt was being cancelled, he promised to return the deposit, but that turned out to be a lie.
The fact that a company like this can operate in any industry, in the U.S. or abroad, is very unsettling. Currently, Mr. Enns and Black Bear Island Lodge are in the process of being called under review by all appropriate industry related state and federal agencies to ensure that they are more responsible in carrying out licensing requirements than they are at honoring their word and their financial obligations.
