I have no problem with them...i am currently "RTO" a widescreen and a living room set. but, living paycheck to paycheck, like most of America, its hard to save up money for things like that, because if that money is just stashed away, i for one know i will spend it (i'm a compulsive spender...lol) so the idea at the time seemed good for me. however, after thinking about it some more, i realized i really shouldnt get a new computer at the moment, because i'm just starting out on my own and have more important things to do with my money. my whole post was about how i had to go through such BS just to get them to NOT charge my bank account, and that they do, indeed, try rip people off, and they know they can do it because people with no credit/bad credit are the easiest targets. i do agree with you, buying a computer from wal-mart is a lot cheaper.

Bascially, computers now come fully loaded and at such a good price, you can go to your local Wal-mart and get one, 90 day same as cash, or better yet, lay-away or pay all up front. $599, with few upgrades needed. If you purchase one from Blue Hippo, it is like renting it, until you own (paid) it. You people need to do the math. By the time you are complete paying for the computer they offer, even with "free 3-1 centers," you will have more than paid for that same PC, you could get somewhere else. The companies capitalize off people with not so hot credit and those who are too impatient to save and pay for it then. If you can't finance something, please, pay cash.

Just because they 'told' you they cancelled your order doesn't mean anything. These sleazoids will most likely try debiting your checking account anyway. Close the account NOW. People can avoid these issues by insisting on a written copy of the contract up front. If they refuse just hang up. These companies prey on the desperate, uninformed consumers.
