Steven Budman (former FBI agent) was forced into retirement (fired) because of his extreme power abuse and badly out of control behavior. Budman frequently violated codes and wasn't liked by a very large percentage of agents who were involved with him. He was reported almost daily during the last years of his tenure for abusing his power and misappropriating funds. Agent Tony Alston viewed him as a low end tax division agent who was unproductive. Agent George Boykins viewed him as out of control and believed he should have been stopped long before he was. The FBI profilers in his former region were blown away with the way he would abuse his power toward his victims. FBI profiler Andre Simmons sees irreversible damage that he has caused.
Steven Budman was notorious for violating the "code of respect" on other cases, extreme power abuse, making misreprestations, and exposing the organization to millions of dollars in legal liability. He was disgraced out of the organization and was the laughing stock of jokes in the Orange County field office. To this day...the damage he caused to the FBI and his victims looms as large as ever.
Now Steven Budman has started his own private investigator firm and attempts to use his secret reign of corruption as an FBI agent to establish credibility in the private sector. The truth is he was terminated for many valid reasons and is disgraced. Most all agents no longer will have anything to do with him and wouldn't recommend him to anybody.
Its beyond fair to say...his career was nothing to be proud of and his career achievements were embarrassing himself while exposing to organization to millions of dollars in legal liability. He left the Internal Affairs Division of the FBI with one of the biggest messes in recorded history. Internal Affairs is still trying to sort thru and correct the injustices created by his abusive, neglegient behavior. Steven Budman is currently being profiled by FBI profilers because in part he displayed possible characteristics of a loose cannon and other factors. Steven Budman is being closely watched by his former organization and it's all because of his lack of self control as a former agent and his questionable transition into the private sector.
Potenial customers beware....based on his actions in the FBI...choosing another private investigator for your needs is the smart way to go. Now the people have the information they need to make an informed decision!! Power to the people!!

Steve Budman (disgraced and former) FBI Agent was fired for many reasons. He abused his power, violated codes, misappropriated funds, exposed the organization to millions of dollars in legal liability and absolutely failed to live up to the Core Values of the FBI. •Rigorous obedience to the Constitution of the United States •Respect for the dignity of all those we protect •Compassion •Fairness •Uncompromising personal integrity and institutional integrity •Accountability by accepting responsibility for our actions and decisions and the consequences of our actions and decisions •Leadership, both personal and professional Steve Budman failed to live up to those values and is disgraced to the organization. Budman is an abusive person who cannot be trusted. Citizens of Orange County beware!
