I am native american. By the grace of God, the Indian housing came to my home and put in a brand new septic (their are 6 in my family). They added on two new bedrooms, Carpet, and extended a hallway. I did not know that they would have put up new siding too. I had an old farm house. Very excited to get help fixing it up as I was a low income person. Low and behold, drives in a very hefty man from Burlingame company offering to sell us siding. My husband and I both did'nt think we would be able to finance because of our credit. Well, it went through!!

Greentree financing was the company who financed us. I passed this along to my parents who also purchased sidind through Greentree. I was told Do NOT send in the second check until ALL siding was done. No payments were to be made to Greentree until a month later. Before it was all finished they called telling me to sign the check and send it in. Automatically we owed! Needless to say, Greentree became Conseco financing.

It all went rolling downhill faster than I could turn my head. The daily rude phone calls, about 10-20 times daily. We tried refinancing, every company that tried calling conseco, they would not call back. Not one! We tried letting a friend buy our home and property so that we could pay them, No phone calls back form conseco. We went to court, lost our home. Now 8 years later, I am renting a trailer with my 4 children, I am on state assistance and I have been seperated for a year. My husband and I are divorcing. I am in tears over this as I am writting. Please, if anyone can help me, let me know!

What is your complaint exactly? You borrowed money, then you couldn't pay? It happens every day, but that doesn't mean the lender took advantage of you. Conseco has not owned Green Tree Financial since 2003--it is owned by several other companies. Conseco ONLY SELLS HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE--no mortgages, no home improvement loans, only insurance. Sorry for your troubles, I live in Michigan and know times are tough...blaming Conseco won't take care of it, though.
