Mr Mark Mulholland sold me a Pointer puppy back in 2005, He told me the puppy had a health issue when he was born, but would be fine and the only effects would be a scar on his neck. When I got Rex home it was a Saturday and per our contract I took Rex for in for a vet visit. My vet told me he looks ok, but the scar on his neck was infected. So he gave me some stuff to put on the scar for the infection. About 3 days later Rex started acting like he couldnt see, and he started having a seizure. This happend about 8:00 pm, so I called the vet for an emergency visit. While we were at the vets office I called Mr Mulholland and made him aware of the problem and he spoke with my vet, he then told me he wanted me to bring Rex up to Pheonix Az to see his vet. We took Rex to his vet the next day even though it was a missed day of work and a 3 hour drive and let his vet check Rex. Mr Mulholland was to meet me there and never showed, he gave me a lame excuse about selling a car and being tied up at the DMV all day. So nothing was done that day the vet told me it looked like Rex had Meningitis or a Liver shut which would require either pills or surgery.

Long story short ater $2000.00 dollars was spent in vet bills the puppy had to be put down do to a severe liver shunt. During this ordeal and my 4 trips to his vet in Pheonix, AZ Mr Mulholland had stopped returning my phone calls and did not respond to any emails or fax that I would send. We tried call him and blocked our phone number to see if he would answer, and to our suprise he anwered his phone. We explained what happened to Rex and how this whole thing effected our family, he did say he was sorry and all he could do for us was replace the puppy out of his next litter, and we agreed to that. He never called to let us know when he would be expecting puppies, I had to look it up on the web for myself, and then when I contacted him about my replacement puppy he told me since he sold me Rex at a discount (due to his scar) I would need to pay him the difference between the $350.00 and the $700.00 for a new one. This is not what we had talked about at all. After a few emails it was very clear to us the we would never get a replacement like he promised us. We were goin to pursue this matter in court but we live too far away to deal with the hassle.

He has only one concern MONEY not any of the people he is selling his puppies to. My 4 yr son was devastated with losing his puppy. I did learn an expensive lesson when it come to dog breeders, so If your looking to buy a puppy steer clear of this shady breeder, it looks like he has a habit of burning people.
