I purchased a used 2000 Honda Oddyssey Minivan from these people. Date of my purchase was Jan 2005. This minivan had 17,000 miles and knowing that Honda is a good car and my wife was pregnant with our first daughter, I purchased it for $18,000 plus tax and extended warranty. Total was about $21,000. About 10 months later, my wife gets rear ended by another car. Not much damage just some scratches to the bumper but his insurance paid for the repairs. I took it to the honda dealer for the repairs and the next day I get a call from the estimator and he tells me that this car was previously repaird from another collision. I had no idea this happened so I get a carfax report. It doesn't shoe anything about an accident, but I see the reported miles from 2 years ago is 59,000 and the next year it was 13,000. then I check my title and it reads the 17,000+ that I bought it with but then it says "not actual mileage". I think this is BS since I thought I had a safe car for my wife and daughter.

So I call Carson Toyota and tell them the deal and fax the title over. The same day they issue me a check for the full amount that I payed $20,00+. They still want me to look at some other cars and I agree. So we look at a Sienna minivan since we needed a van. I told them I didnt want to come out of pocket with anything, and I wanted to pay exactly what I paid for the used minivan since they could of put us in danger. No way did they budge so I just took the money and left to another dealer. I ended up getting a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country for under $20,000 out the door.

They probably did not know about the mileage issue. As soon as you found out and told them they gave you your money back. You drove a van for 10 months for free. Where is the rip off? Lets see, a 5 year old Honda van is worth more than a current year Chrysler. The 2006 Chrysler and Dodge ex rental vans are going through auction for about $13K right now with about 9K miles on them. So you just paid 20K for a van that will be worth 13 in a few months. There is the rip off

AND CARLSON IS THE TITANIC. GREAT JOB IN GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK, BUT AS A FORMER CAR DEALER I CAN TELL YOU THIS. PLEASE TAKE IT A STEP FURTHER AND CONTACT WHOEVER IN CALIFORNIOA IS IN CHARGE OF CAR DEALERS. IF THE CAR WAS TRADED WITH THE ODOMETER TURNED BACK THE DEALER WOULD HAVE NO WORRIES AS HE DID NOT COMMIT THE FRAUD AND HE WOULD NEVER BE SO FAST TO HAND YOU YOUR $20,000 BACK. YOU CAN BET THAT THEY EITHER KNEW IT WAS CLOCKED OR THEY CLOCKED IT THEMSELVES AND WERE AFRAID OF GETTING CAUGHT. YOU CAN ALSO BET THE FARM THAT IT'S NOT THE ONLY ODOMETER THEY CLOCKED. DO YOU FELLOW CAR BUYERS A BIG FAVOR AND LET THE STATE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. THE NEXT GUY MIGHT BLOW AN ENGINE OR TRANNY ON A HIGH MILES "CREAMPUFF" AND LOSE A BUNDLE. AGAIN YOU DID A GREAT JOB.
