We were in Dallas for a vist with mother-in-law and decided to look on-line for a VW New Beetle for daughter. Found one on cars.com advertised for $5495 through Central Kia. Called Brett Malone with internet sales. He told us the ad was a misprint and the car was priced at $8495 (red flag). We told him this was out of our price range and hung up. He called us back, said he talked to his "sales manager" and he said this was negotiable to come and take a look. We decided to take the 45-minute drive over to Lewisville and see what would happen.

When we arrived at Central Kia, there were three salesmen sitting outside waiting like vultures (another red flag). We got out and asked for Brett Malone to which one over-exuberant salesman told us there was no Brett Malone but he could help us (yet another red flag). We told him about speaking with Brett Malone and we were here to look at the VW New Beetle on their lot. He quickly informed us that this was a piece of sh** (in front of my young son & daughter as well as my elderly mother-in-law) and was in the shop needing major repairs --- they were even re-evaluating whether they were going to spend the money or send it back to auction.

We were very upset by this time as they had not only wasted our time, but also our valuable gas. Tempers rose and the sales manager quickly rushed us to his office where he listened to our complaint and then asked us to leave throwing his own smart insults as we reached the doors of his establishment. I honestly don't know how this man can go to bed at night - NO INTEGRITY. He offered no apology for wasting our time. However, I must say the salesmanager was quite clever with his exits jabs, which only speaks to the nature of his practice and how many other people they have enraged with their dishonest sales practices to be so witty - "You came in for a Good Buy and that is what you got so goodbye" as well as a few other things to my husband that I didn't quite catch.

AT NO TIME WERE WE TREATED WITH COURTESY AND LIKE THEY WANTED OUR BUSINESS!!! After reading all the other rip-off reports, I thank the good Lord for protecting us from a major business mistake.
