On Aug 2014, I browsed Internet and saw an investment opportunity in Chicago property flipping. The company KRI Property Group claimed to be based in Dublin Ireland. Their CEO Patrick said an investor can earn up to 30% gain in 3 months time, after a Chicago property was purchased and resold quickly ( so called flipping ). One condition is that the investor pays full CASH upfront on an undervalued Chicago property that was chosen by KRI. In addition, KRI guarantees to repay 105% of the purchase price to the investor if the chosen property was not sold in 3 months time.
On Sept 2014, I purchased by cash one Chicago property through KRI. After 3 months, Patrick claimed it was successfully resold and the net gain was about 25% of my original price. He then pursuaded me to purchase another Chicago property for further flipping. On Jan 2015, Patrick sent me an electronic copy of a warranty deed of another Chicago property. My name appeared to be the grantee of the deed, so he claimed this property was sold to me using the same money collected after selling the first property.
From Apr 2015 to June 2016, Patrick failed to explain why the second property was not sold as planned. After June 2016, Patrick stopped answering phone calls and replying emails. Then I verified with Chicago authority that the warranty deed was faked. Patrick Kavanagh of KRI Property Group Ltd was a scam artist. All related police reports were filed including FBI, Interpol, An Garda and my local police etc.
