Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I recently purchased a vehicle from Chase Auto Group in NJ. What a joke!! A complete ripoff and a terrible transaction. Shady from the get-go. Doing business out of a basement and renting out a car wash lot to start off. NO plate to give for a proper test drive. And now I have a car I paid $6100.00 for that needed over $2000.00 worth of additional work. Company advertised that the car had all new belts including timing belt replaced at 83K miles. Got to my mechanic, not only does my car NOT have a timing belt but a timing CHAIN but it needs a new serpentine belt. When confronted with the advertisement the company denies it ever existing. Refuses to return calls. I got a car that needed all new brakes, all new rotors, then had to hammer off the tires because of locking lugnuts I was never given the key to. Needed 2 new tie rods and a front bearing, and a serpentine belt!! In the process of taking them to small claims court!! Please please do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with Chase Auto Group.... Hackettstown NJ. Avoid this company like the plague!!

Take them to small claims court.  I did and won.  I am not thru with them just yet.  I have few more tricks up my sleeve.  I am federal government employee working in Washington DC and I am going to my congressman to shut them down.  Also, you can contact the US Attorney's office in NJ.  I have done so and they are investigating.  I tried to civil but they do not care nor have any remorse.  The russian that works there is the worst of all because he can barely speak English but he knew what words to use to cuss me out.  One word, Karma.  Good luck man and fight back.

Aw.... really. First off this is NOT Mr. Short...

Secondly, tell me really, how you sold me such an excellent vehicle when it is less than 2 months after it's purchase and it is in the shop for an entire TRANSMISSION replacement!! Please, explain that one really well for me....

Furthermore, explain to me again what an excellent vehicle it was seeing as I've replaced both axles, replaced all brakes and all rotors, replaced both bearings, and replaced both tie-rods.... Please Ron, tell me about the excellent condition you advertised this car to be in.

Lastly Ron dear, please explain to me where your advertisement went.... oh you know, the advertisement for the new timing belt on my car.... or moreso, all new belts on the car.... yeah the one you deleted that I have a copy of.... oh that's right, you thought it would just disappear? Not quite. False advertisement sweetie is against the law, and you'll get your day in court.

Not a threat, a promise, contact my lawyer, Alan. Thanks.

Mr. Short. How are you. This is funny.

1. We agreed to show you a vehicle after business hours and closer to you so you didnt have to go to Hackettstown.

2. You, your daughter, and your son in law all test drove the vehicle.( Obviously if we are a dealer- we have dealer plates.....

3. Does it matter if our storage lot is rented from a carwash??? who should I rent a lot from?

4. You are trying to suck money so you can get an even better price for the vehicle which you bargained down on price already.- ALSO- you signed all the AS-IS paperwork.

5. You stated you wanted to leave with the vehicle in its current condition SAME DAY!!!

If they were operating out of a basement and you thought this was odd, then why did you continue to do business with them???

If they didn't even have a plate for a proper test drive and you couldn't take that test drive, then why did you buy the car?

Looks to me like you took on the risk even when presented with obvious red flags.  Who's to blame???
