I am disabled and on a fixed income. Chipman Relocations lied, mistreated and took advantage of me.

My wife, son and I hired Chipman Relocations to move us from California to Idaho. They promised us a direct delivery of our belongings to Idaho by July 5, 2008. Instead, they held our belongings for two weeks in a warehouse in Santa Ana, Ca.

When the delivery was finally made, they only had some of our belongings on the truck. They told us that the rest of our stuff wouldn't fit on their truck so they left our belongings in the Santa Ana warehouse. When we asked when we would get the rest of our stuff delivered, they told us they would deliver it when they had another delivery to Idaho.

They said they had no one else lined up to move to Idaho and said they did not have any time frame either. We informed Chipman that some of my son's asthma medication as well as his nebulizer was in one of the boxes that was sitting in their Santa Ana warehouse and that it was very important that they get the rest of our belongings to us soon.

Chipman told us it was not their problem and that is how the moving business works. After several unreturned phone calls to Chipman over several days, they delivered the rest of our belongings to us. After the delivery, I started opening the boxes to find that several items were broken. We informed Chipman, but they have not addressed the problem.

We also over payed Chipman by $170.00 and they only sent us a $20.00 refund. We have writen documentation from them showing the price we owed them, but they say they recalculated and decided to send us only $20.00.

Chipman has been rude and uncaring to us through this whole ordeal. And now, Chipman gave Fed-Ex my address and name for a $6,000.00 bill that belongs to Chipman. So, now Fed-Ex is after me for a $6,000.00 bill.
