I signed up to get a free credit report from Equifax, TransUnion & Experian, which was provided for me. I cancelled, online.

I was paying off a large amount on a VISA credit card, and thought that the CIC*Triple Advantage charge was for something else that was automatically charged to this card. In January I called VISA, and they told me that CIC was charging me since July, 2006.

I never authorized a $12.95 per month deduction from my credit card account.CIC*Triple Advantage was charging me for nothing. I never received any further newsletters or emails.

I called the credit card company, and they said that they would credit my account going back to November, 2006.I also wrote to them, to affirm this, and to put the account into dispute. I just got a response from the credit card company saying that they are crediting me for one month, which I am now disputing.

I have now written to Experian, because it appears that CIC*Triple Advantage is connected to Experian. This is a real scam, but even more so if it is connected to a major credit reporting service.
