Cincinncati Bell came out and turned our phone on at the pole and then left a yellow tag on the door letting us know that the had turned it on at the pole! We then figured out that none of the jacks were working in our house. I called Cincinnati Bell and found out that it would be quite costly to have the jacks repaired. I then requested to have the service turned off. The girl on the phone informed me that I would have to talk to some one else to get this done. Keep in mind it took a while to get her on the phone to tell me that I would have to wait to talk to somebody else.

So again I was put on hold and then finally hung up after waiting more than twenty minutes on hold to get my phone diconnected. I will admit that I did forget to call them back untill I got the next months bill. I again called them back to get the service disconnected.

When the recording came on for which department I choose the disconnect, so I could skip every one else and go straight to that department. That again was a wasted of time because I got somebody else who could not help me and would have to connect me to that department. So the guy puts me on hold and later (ten minutes or so) gets back on the phone and tells me he will give them my number and note it on my account that I called to have the service disconnected, and that he could see on my account that my service has never been used.

I then again called when I received another bill got put on hold, never got to talk to any one. This is my repeated happenings with Cincinnati Bell.

Finally after months of trying to contact Cincinnati Bell I finally got ahold of a live person and my bill is now over $300.00. They tell me that I either have to pay it or it will go on my credit report. They can see on our account where I've called to try to get it disconnected and that no calls have been made from the house and that we had no working jacks in the house. Then the lady tells me that she can also see where they had tried calling me on the same number that she had already said wasn't working (your joking right). And goes on to tell me that they are going to disconnect it for non-payment.

So my final bill is over $300.00 for a phone I never got to use and from a company that is ripping off their customers.

Cincinnati Bell does not know what customer service means.

Bill, I know that you think your company is tops, but as a customer of yours, I think your company stinks.I am a customer who moved and requested my phone to be moved to my new address about a month ahead of time. The day before the move my phone was turned off without my knowledge.I called your company who kept me on the phone for 2 hours, transferring me to 5 different people. Repair sent me to customer service who states that my phone not working is a repair problem so I got transfered back to repair. All in all, I got transfered 4 times, back and forth and no one could tell me what had happened, But they did offered to send to my home a repairman.I had to laugh at the one. I could not believe that as big as Cincinnati Bell that no one with your company could tell me why my phone did not work. What had happened was some employee took it upon themselves to turn off my phone 24 hours early and did not tell the customer. Then I was told by the last customer service rep that he could not guarantee that my phone would be turned back on at my new home, but yet send to me almost a week later a $400.00 bill and gave me 14 days to pay it or turn off my service. That was a joke also. Your company turns off my phone, could not find out why, then tells me they can't guarantee me that it will be turned back on and then threatened to turn off everything if my bill is not paid within 14 days..who cares..All I wanted was to move my service to a new address with the same phone service I had for 40 years. No wonder people is cutting the land line and going cellular. With Verizon,Cricket,Sprint. So Jerry I do believe you when you say Cincinnati Bell is ripping off their customers not alone lying to them about everything.Keeps you on the phone, transfering you to everyone who works there, but does not know anything and threatens you to terminate your service and send you to the credit bureau.. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO HAS BEEN TRAINED TO DO THEIR JOB.All they want is to get you off the phone so they won't kill their AHT by passing you on to some other rep who has no idea what to do or how to handle the sitution. They just hope that putting you into the loop that you will eventually give up.I did not hang up and it cost me 2 hours of being tossed back and forth and my phone still did not work. And then finding out that you gave to a company my Zoomtown during my move.I have trouble when I call cause you can't figure out if I am residental phone service or a company cause we both have the same number.

Every customer of Cincinnati Bell generally can exit a service within 30 days of initial sign up with no charges and no questions asked if the right steps are taken up front. Stopping into one of our 30 -40 retail stores across Cincinnati and Dayton would've been a good idea. IF you don't feel like hanging on hold, stop into a corporate store. We have back door numbers that are exclusive for us to handle your needs. Here's what you need to know for next time: -Exercise your own consumer due diligence. Letting your bill go for 3 months is absolutely rediculous. If I buy a t.v. from your yard sale, and want to return it 3 months later because it doesn't work, are you going to refund me my full amount of money that I paid in to you 3 months prior? 30 days I could maybe understand. I know personally, I really do not want to be billed for a service that I couldn't use. Stay on the phone! Be persistent. And if this fails, guess what? The same place you filed this report, (the internet), you can also move or deal with your services from as well. Cincinnatibell.com When a customer signs up for service, they are not obligated to sign any contracts. This has an advantage for the consumer. We are obligated to provide the best service possible to earn your business. We are constantly trying to earn your service. It just takes a little effort on your part. When a customer in your instance comes into my store, guess what? We take good care of them. -Bill
