I am very interested in a class action against Cingular.

I've had the account for 3 years, my bill ran usually $115.00. One month my bill jumped to $400.00. When I called to complain, they said the bill was correct. I paid it because I didn't know what the problem was. The next month, my bill was over $500.00. I called Cingular again and again they insisted the bill was correct. I told them there was no way I could pay that money. They shut the phone off and charged me for that.

Just recently, they referred my account to ER Solutions, who called me at work, was very abusive, and said they were going to call my HR Dept. at work and start garnishing my wages next week. I told them there was a mistake in the bill and they basically said, tough, I could not sue Cingular and the contract I signed with Cingular gave them permission to garnish my wages.

I am very despondent over this situation. I can't eat, sleep, and am basically at the end of my rope.

I've tried everywhere to find the name and address of the CEO and the Chairman of the Board, but they are very clever about not giving that information out anywhere. Please include me in a class action lawsuit. Does anyone have advice. I sure would appreciate it.

You should review your bill very carefully and see where these extra charges came from. If you are responsbile for the whole bill, see if they will cut it in half (or something) and tell them you will do a payment over the phone then and there. As soon as I get my bill in I review it and if there are any problems I call right away (the day it comes in) and get it taken care of. I have been with Cingular for over 5 years and have had 1 problem with them and got half of the charges reveresed. My boyfriend and I upgraded and we were told text messaging was included- nevertheless, it wasnt and we messaged over 200 messages. The rep cut those charges in half. They didnt have to but they did. If you scream and yell about the bill they will not help you. They have the power to make changes to your bill so treat them with respect and they should help. I hope this helps....
