Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My sister, mother and self all met in Salem Oregon to vacation on June 26th 2001 and stood at this motel we weren't aware of the prejudices of the manager Jim was going to impose on ourselves he kicked us out the next day for no reason. He or his maid stole $500.00 U.S. out of our room so we called the police on him and made a report. He tried to grab my 11 year old niece out of my sisters car stating that she needed to be disciplined for playing music that he says was loud but it wasn't, we couldn't hear it and we were right in our room getting ready to leave for the day.

He did finally give us 1/2 our money back for the two nights that we stayed after we called police on him. The police stated that he didn't have too but that he could ask us too leave early if he wanted. We thought it would be safe to stay there since the police were across the street the police said they have been there before to remove his cliental out of there but never had the cliental call on him specifically. He was treating us very rudely saying you people. I made a report on the stolen money but was told that I couldn't do anything because I had no proof that I had it because it was cash I had borrowed it from the money tree the day before so I do have that proof.

I want to get a hold of the owners but can't seem to get anywhere with this individual I'm not sure if you all could help but if you can we would appreciate it thank you please feel free to contact me if you want. thanks jessica

you picked the cream of the crop there to stay it's mostly a homeless shelter not really an over night motel the 119.99 per week sign should have tipped you off

No motel owner throws out paying customers unless he has good reason. He's running a business. He's not going to evict decent, quiet and respectable customers no matter what race they are. If he were a racist he wouldn't have allowed you into his motel. He'd have told you there were no vacancies. If you lost $500, check your kid's pockets. You know the ones -- those who were blasting the car radio that you claim you didn't hear. Use the money to get a hearing test. Use the rest to hire someone to discipline the little brats who have no respect for others. NOBODY drags an 11-year-old out of a car for listening to quiet music. They may, however, if the music was so loud it was hurting their ears. It's called Self-Preservation -- and it's justified if you ask me.

Don't use the race card

Eric, you are the one using the race card with the comments you have made. There are racists in every part of the United States, including Oregon. There's some real slime in the hotel business, and here's another example of that. Trying to automatically use the race card to dismiss any wrongs that businesses do is a real low thing to do.

It sounds like the author is illiterate, and is probably some type of c*m artist or criminal. Who carries $500 in plain cash nowadays? If you cause problems at a business, don't be surprised when the owner tries to give you the boob. The whole "prejudice" thing is silly, too. If this were in Selma, Alabama, then maybe I'd believe it, but Oregon? Get real. Quit using race as a crutch.
