I was looking for a service that would "claim" 100's of social media profiles for my business. I found Claimbrand via a Google Search and it looked like a real company and the right package/plan. I paid $279 via 2Checkout and my Paypal account.
After about a week I tried to contact Claimbrand to get an update. I emailed them (no phone # is available) and Tweeted them. I got no response so after about another week I contacted 2Checkout and they contacted Claimbrand to get an update. 2Checkout never heard back from the company.
Next I went to Paypal figuring they would protect me from this scam. After making the claim and waiting almost a month I finally heard from Paypal with this email "Unfortunately, we are denying your claim because your purchase was for a virtual, digital, or intangible item, which is not covered under PayPal Purchase Protection. We only cover claims involving physical items that can be shipped and tracked." Really? A month investigation for this?
Three fails! Claimbrand = scam, 2Checkout for not closing down this company. Paypal for not being a payment option you can trust to protect you.
