Claws & Paws Pets Not a reputable pet store Shelton, Washington

A daughter of a friend of ours in Shelton bought a gray kitten from Claws & Paws some time ago that had allegedly been dewormed & had all of its shots. She gave the kitten to us, because she thought she was allergic to it, as she itched every time that she touched it (but was likely ringworm instead; see below). The kitten was so small, that it clearly had been weaned too early; it was sickly. When we took it to our veterinarian (South Bay Veterinary Clinic), they had to deworm the kitten & give him all of his shots. We & all of our mammalian pets subsequently contracted ringworm from our new kitten, which took several months to get rid of. The kitten also had a benign ear tumor that had been there since birth, which our veterinarian detected & removed. All told, this unprofessional pet store has cost us several hundred dollars. Although our friend's daughter had visited the pet store more than once to complain for us during the following year, the owner was never there to be held accountable.
Although we requested that Claws & Paws refund our full veterinary bill through BBB and state channels, we got only an unprofessional (rationalizing and often-misspelled) letter back from the owner. Hence, we'll never go back to that pet store again!
