Colorado Resort Services / Pioneer Ridge Management RIPOFF - CRS/PRM will BUMP YOU from your reservation!!! Steamboat Springs Colorado
I rented a large lodge (Aspen View Lodge) from Colorado Resort Services/Pioneer Ridge Management in Steamboat for a 30+ person reunion we're organizing for September 2008. I made the reservation during March 2008 and provided a large (multi-thousand dollar) deposit to secure that reservation.
During June 2008, the reservations manager called me to inform me that the owner of the lodge wanted to use it during the weekend we had already rented, and that CRS/PRM would not be able to honor my reservation. After calling other property owners in Steamboat, I learned that PIONEER RIDGE MANAGEMENT HAS A REPUTATION FOR BOOKING RESERVATIONS, THEN BUMPING CLIENTS OUT OF THOSE RESERVATIONS FOR A VARIETY OF REASONS! It is my opinion that PRM found someone to rent the lodge for more money, and they did not rebut that assertion when I confronted them with it on the telephone.
The company offered to put us up in other, less adequate properties. After going in circles for several days, I requested that they return my deposit money. Upon hearing this, the reservations manager threatened to keep a $500 cancellation penalty! It was only after threatening to file a lawsuit in small claims court that I was able to recover my deposit.
IF YOU WANT TO HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR VACATION RESERVATION IN STEAMBOAT, DO NOT BOOK THROUGH COLORADO RESORT SERVICES/PIONEER RIDGE MANAGEMENT. YOU WILL BE SORELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES.
