I had a trail period with consumer Cellular thanks to AARP of which was from 8/17/2011 to 9/02/2011.  This was a risk free trail period through them.  45 units of usage or 45 days whichever comes first.   When i received this phone, i could never use it due to a very poor signal strength in our area.  Most of the time, i was on a landline phone talking to there customer service in trying to get this phone to work.  All of the minutes that came with this phone were used up by there customer service in trying to get a stronger signal for this phone.  Finally sent it back to them and canceled the account well within the needed time period.   NEVER HAVE HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM SINCE THEN. 09/02/2011.   NOW, ON ALL THREE OF MY CREDIT REPORTS - THEY SAY I OWE THEM 109.00 OF WHICH SHOWED UP ON MY 2015 REPORTS.  Never have they had any contact with me since the phone was sent back and the account cancled.   ACCOUNT WAS TURNED OVER TO A "PROFESSIONAL CREDIT SERVICES" FOR COLLECTION LOCATED IN EUGENE, OR.  This was done in 2012.   This so called credit service company also has NEVER CONTACTED ME IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM ABOUT THIS MATTER.   I had to contact them in order to find out as to what this was all about.   ALL I WAS TOLD FROM THEM, THAT THEY WOULD CHECK INTO IT AND CONTACT ME BACK.    AS OF THE POSTING OF THIS REPORT, I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM AT ALL.    THIS IS THE WORST CREDIT REPORTING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BOTH COMPANIES THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.    NO PROOF OF WHAT THE ALLEGED 109.00 CHARGE IS FOR EXCEPT THAT I AM BEING TOLD BY THEM - I WENT OVER 45 UNITS OF THERE USAGE.     DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AS THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.

Between Consumer Cellular and this so called collection company, i really don't know who is the worst.   They work together to SCAM people out of roten credit reporting and collections.  I know because i am a victim of both of them.   My account was a TRAIL BASIS through AARP.   30 day of a phone and 300 minutes.  This was back in 2010.   I received the phone and could never use it because of POOR SIGNAL RECEPTION in our area.  Almost all of the minutes given with this phone were used from talking to there rotten customer support team.   Finally got so mad from this rotten service, i sent the phone back well within the 30 day period and canceled the account.    NEVER HEARD FROM THEM SINCE.    On my 2015 credit reports, i found this account was turned over to a PROFESIONAL CREDIT SERVICE COMPANY IN SPRINGFIELD OR. for collection.    I was NEVER CONTACTED IN ANY WAY by consumer celluar or professional credit services in a FOUR YEAR PERIOD OF TIME that i owed any money on a canceled account.    Finally contacted consumer cellular and asked them to send me a PROF OF BILLING on the alleged account.  got a bill from them in the amount of $37.87 that they said i owed them for minutes used.    THIS I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL.   300 ALLOWED MINUTES - USED WERE 236 WHEN I CANCELED THE ACCOUNT - AND I OWE THEM MONEY?????    I WENT AHEAD AND PAID THE SAID AMOUNT OWED TO THEM - THEY ACCEPTED AND CASHED THE CHECK - BUT YET, THIS NEGATIVE INFORMATION REMAINS ON MY CREDIT REPORTS.  FILED COMPLAINTS WITH THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE AND THE BBB TO NO ADVAIL AS THEY CAN'T HELP ACCORDING TO THEM.    MY ADVICE TO ALL THAT READS THIS - DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH CONSUMER CELLULAR OR PROFESSIONAL CREDIT SERVICES.     SCAM ARTIST'S AT WORK.

Consumer Cellular is without question one of the worst cell phone providers in the business today.  HOW CAN ONE HAVE ANY SERVICE WITHOUT SIGINAL STRENGTH OR BARS ON THE PHONE IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE IT?????.   They blame the problem upon AT&T for cell phone tower problems.   Nothing at all said about the phone itself.  They still say that i owe them money on cell phone service that i never had with them.   DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AND GET SCREWED LIKE THEY ARE DOING TO ME.  Much better other companies out there to do busines with.    STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES AND THIS IS CONSUMER CELLULAR AT IT'S BEST.    FUTURE CUSTOMERS - BEWARE OF THEM.
