Hmm you must have been taking your time when you knew the store was closing and some very very tired employees wanted to go home to their families. I would think if you worked in retail management for years you of all people would know what that is like, working all day and waiting for someone (who knows the store closes at 10) who is taking their time deciding what toilet paper to purchase! Bet they are glad you are going to walgreens now.

And to the person that posted that CVS had to pay $37 Million because they defrauded Medicare ... GUESS WHAT THEY FORGOT TO TELL YOU
WALGREENS had to pay $35 Million for the exact same thing:
http://medicare-medicaid.com/medicare/government-wins-medicaid-fraud-case-against-walgreens/
AND THEN ANOTHER $20 MIllion plus for Discrimination
So, before you decide to dish dirt on CVS which is great company and has outstanding Customer Service from ALL OF YOU WALGREENS SUPPORTERS
CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF

no , let me guess, cvs didnt know they were making millions of dollars by dispensing the capsules instead of the tablets ( which by the way is against the law unless the actual physican okays the change from capsules instead of tablets)

I tend to agree with that assessment of the OP. In our town we had CVS and Walgreen's build new stores across the street from each other ( as I have noticed in other towns, as well ) about a year ago. The CVS parking lot is constantly full, while Walgreen's is constantly empty. The reason - the poorest customer service on the face of the Earth. My friends and neighbors tell me of prescriptions being shorted, rude clerks and higher prices at Walgreen's. How do they stay in business ?? I would not put anything past Walgreen's, including sabotaging their competition.

This is not a ripoff !!!!
At best, this was just bad timing by someone who loves to take their sweet time...
AT WORSE, this is A TOTAL UNFAIR ATTACK ON CVS BY A WALGREENS SUPPORTER WHO HAVE BEEN GIVEN ORDERS BY DEERFIELD, IL TO FILE A FALSE COMPLAINT AGAINST THEIR COMPETITION. (NOTE the picture the user has decided to post
When you go into a store and want your film develop, where is the Photo Lab Specialist
AT CVS - in the Photo Lab
AT WAL-MART - in the Photo Lab
AT MEIJER - in the Photo Lab
AT KROGER - in the Photo Lab
AT WALGREENS - in cosmetics to protect $100K worth of eyeliner, makeup and cosmetics!
Maybe Walgreens should focus on their Customer Service, their rude employees MORE than Attacking Walgreens Critics, CVS, WAL-MART, MEIJER

Where is the RipOff? At the very most it would be bad customer service.
However, you show up at the store at closing time. So because they are closing and told you to bring your final purchases to the front you feel "rushed", how exactly is that a RipOff. How much time should they have given you? I am sure that being in retail management you know what a closing time is, and how people have things to do to be able to close the store. You also realize that keeping a store open after hours costs money in the form of additional labor and overhead costs(such as electricity for the lights).
Then you call corporate and they said that they would be talked to. Yet you say that they seemed unconcerned. What exactly did you want them to do? Did you want them to apologize to you for 20 minutes and say that they will fire everyone who was there that night?
