I bought a computer from CyberpowerPC earlier this year.  It was  very expensive too. Unfortunately, it arrived in defective condition. I originally thought maybe it was something I could fix myself, like maybe a driver issue or corrupt windows install. I thought I could save myself, as well as them, the time and trouble of an RMA. Unfortunately, it wasn't something that driver updates or windows reinstallations fixed. It was, and still remains, a hardware problem!

It crashes rather often with blue screen errors like critical_process_died and kernel_data_inpage_error, although the cause has been hard to pin down. After three returns for repair, they failed to fix the original problem. Not only that, but they created new problems each time! So it seems to me that they, almost surely, do not properly test their systems! They should have been able to fix everything the first time!

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x0000007a (0xfffff6e0003ff928, 0xffffffffc000000e, 0x000000010e148880, 0xffffc0007ff25220). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 032215-21937-01.

.... That's one of the errors from back in March.

And I did first contact them within the first thirty days! (Invoice Feb 26. First email was March 26th) It's not my fault they can't fix things correctly! I bought, and I am entitled to, a properly working product!

The first time they attempted repairs, they broke the front panel on the case. They replaced the GPU, but that did nothing to fix the crashes.

The second time, they fixed the front panel & replaced the hard drive, possibly with a worse one. They also replaced the internal wifi card. But guess what? The heatsink was detatched & flopping around inside the system! So I sent it back again.

The third time, they reattached the heatsink, which was dented, but functional. I noticed some bent capacitors on the motherboard as well. At first, the computer seemed okay, but that wasn't the case. The first time I had to restart, it took multiple tries  until successful boot. I got various errors, which never happened before, like "disk read error", "bcd error", and a few other unpleasant things. Also, there are some very strange problems with my usb ports! The machine absolutely hates USB flash drives and USB HDDs! (my much less powerful HP laptop has no problem with my USB HDDs)

Every time I sent the computer back, they took even longer to repair it! I ended up buying a cheap, less powerful, but much more reliable laptop. I needed something to use while waiting for repairs, even if it doesn't do everything I want. So in a way, I had to spend a few hundred dollars more because of CyberpowerPC!

I'm assuming the motherboard has been bad from the start, but I don't know. They should have been able to figure it out, long ago! Instead, they replaced parts, in a seemingly random fashion, and failed to do proper testing!

So after being a victim of their unprofessional inability to fix my PC several times, I requested a refund. I expected a properly working computer, not the pile of quirky garbage they sent me! I was told a so-called "refund" was only possible with a 15% restocking fee (approximately $170), plus shipping fees (approximately $70. PA to CA via UPS).

They wanted to restock my broken computer?! And I'm supposed to pay for this?! Why?! I did not simply change my mind about it... the thing is a piece of junk!  So I eventually tried again. I ended up with the same awful result. Not only that, but they acted as if their awful "refund" offer was a great deal! This whole situation is unacceptable and entirely unfair! It is their job as a merchant to provide a quality product! The thing they sent me is nothing more than a lemon!

I then tried a request for a replacement computer system, but also they refused to offer that.  I fail to see why I should have to pay greatly for their inability to provide a properly functional product! The warranty has been very useless to me. They do not seem very committed to customer satisfaction at all!

CyberpowerPC  websites. Avoid them!

cyberpowerpc.com

cyberpowersystem.co.uk

sybergaming.com (same company)

Here's an idea. CyberpowerPC does a lot of giveaways, but perhaps they should invest that money in helping their paying customers instead of such shallow giveaways!

In my honest opinion, everyone should just run far away & avoid them! Never look back, or you'll likely regret it! I am not alone with my terrible experience. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until later, but they have terrible reviews. They also sometimes use "like new" parts, which are refurbished. I think that's somewhat misleading!

I wish I had researched them better, because then there's no way I'd have ever ordered from them in the first place. However, I don't think that's an excuse to leave me stuck with a broken computer. I've never felt so stressed out & ripped off by a company in my whole life!

I wanted a company I could rely on, to maybe order from again someday, but I ended up wtih a total nightmare!

I was finally able to get a refund via Paypal. Be very careful if you're determined to order from CyberPowerPC.
