Cyberpowerpc; DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS ONE!

I selected them because they advertized in a high end PC magazine. My error was associating them with the magazine as both being of better than average quality.....I was wrong.

Starting with the phone order no one would give me their name. I had some questions about my selections and they said just check off what you want on the web site and pay at the end. I didn't want him to select for me just to describe the items. I asked “will the PC be ready to go just boot and go”? They said yes.

The order was placed on June 26 and I paid extra for a three day build. After five more phone calls I received the PC on July 10. I had to fight to get them to refund my fast build charge. They did not notify me no apology just nothing. I paid extra for secure packing they put an inflatable air bag inside on top of the motherboard! I paid extra for cable management, the wire management was horrendous and totally lacking any logical order. The back side of the case was bulging as if they sat on a suitcase that would not close.

Upon inspection it was immediately noted that the case was cracked. The extra red light striping I ordered had fallen off and there were two screws adhered to the adhesive backing of the light strip.

These could have shorted out the system. Also noted was a bent and broken USB 3 header, clearly the power PSU was forced into its location and the edge broke the mother board. I don’t see how the person building the unit could not have seen this... they just don’t care it's only their job and a paycheck every two weeks. No pride in their work no maturity and certainly no professionalism.

To continue the light strip was lacerated and it did not work. I ordered an SSD and a hard drive but the most embarrassing thing for them is that they loaded WIN 7 Pro on the hard drive and not the SSD as requested!

I very clearly asked the phone agent if I will receive ( as if I bought these on Amazon) all the extra parts, boxes, manuals, cords, wires, patches, quick charts, patch cords etc. and each time I asked with each call every representative said yes of courses and guess what I received nothing. So I am paying full price for a build and I don't even get what I paid for. I bought thermal paste but the liquid cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste. I asked why was some paste removed from the tube of paste that I bought? He said they put both on for better protection. Only one can be used, so which one was applied? He disconnected the phone. On my call back I asked where are the Benchmark test reports he didn't even know what I was talking about! Without these post build tests the PC is incomplete.

I took photos of everything and sent them to Cyberpowerpc I received no call, no correspondence at all.

I had to call them every time. The unit only booted into the OS there were no audio drivers no Ethernet drivers. The front USB's didn't work and the upgraded quiet cooler fan they offer as an extra didn't work and the CPU was overheating perhaps no thermal paste! The cooler fan was plugged into the wrong fan header. The video card had no OEM drivers loaded. The worst was I got a non OEM WIN7 disc!!! it had an ink jet produced CD label. They told me “we are licensed Microsoft dealers and this what you get. I explained again the just like Amazon thing but they only repeated the same.

As a professional business person I have never had an experience such as this in my entire life. I can only blame myself for not researching them before the purchase. I paid with my AE card which guarantees my purchases I called them and got a complete credit for this fiasco. They told me about www.ripoffreport.com. There I discovered the entire negative world of Cyberpowerpc and all the other negative sites.

I have studied the problem, researched how to build PC and will now do the build myself.
