My mother was attempting to login to her bank account and something popped up that resulted in her calling this company.

My mother is not the most tech savy person and can be easily misslead.  Heck I'm an IT professional and I couldn't convince her at first that she was scammed.  But this complaint isn't about the suspectiability of my mother ... it's about how the transaction went down.

In the documents my mother had e-signed it mentions "your credit card won't be charged until after the services are complete."

The MAJOR problem here - they had her show a check infront of her webcam using an app called camtoy (camtoy.com).  Come to find out the agreement my mom signed was based on a credit card transaction yet they got a check from her?  She even tried to pay with a credit card and they said they don't take them.  WOW!  What legit business doesn't take a credit card in 2018?  NONE!  That's another sign that these guys are jerks and are committing illegal activities.

That is a BOGUS transaction.  I had my mom transfer all of the funds from that particular checking account into savings until she's able to go to the bank on Monday to get a new one.

This company is up to shaddy business.  I called them and they were getting all defensive when I said they were scammers.  BECAUSE THEY ARE!

So I had to login to my mom's computer remotely and scan her system to see if they had hijacked it.  Turns out that the software they told me they installed on her computer WASN'T EVEN INSTALLED!!!!!!  They just did that entire ruse to get access to her bank account information.

Someone needs to do something about these ($$$)holes.  I'm so angry right now!

Immoral.  Unethical.  Illegal.  Unbelievable!

Dear Sir,

first i would like to take the time and apologize for the trouble your mother must had been through. if it makes you feel any better i can offer full refund to your mother account ( if the transaction went thorugh- which i had no idea as the name and email address of your mother has not been mentioned anywhere in the report ).

I will however say this that our business never involve into pop up calls due to legitimacy reasons, we are completely in favor of them being a bogus business model. please shed some more light about how the call was connected to us, my first guess is the firms that deal with pop up calls usually transfer them to any other company after using aggresive sales pitch. please provide us some details so that we can look into it and avoid it for future.

When we accept the payment by credit card on us customers, sometime is takes a lot of time for the bank to approve the charge because our company is in canada and bank usually declines any overseas transaction. the verification and approval from the bank has to be done by the customer only. in order to avoid this we take the payments by check, usually we take scan copy of the check but it is my understanding that your mother did not have a printer to scan the check at the moment , hence the check copy from the webcam came into existence.
