Damon Gibson doesn't pay freelancers for work they complete and turn in. Businesses considering advertising in the Coastal Enthusiast should know this, as should the people who read the magazine. Corpus Christi and the coastal bend should be aware of Coop Advertising Company and Damon Gibson.
I have recently seen several post about Damon Gibson on other websites so I know I am not the only one not being paid.
It's a shame that people who do good work should have to go to such efforts to get paid.
Damon Gibson has started and closed several magazines during the last 10 years, one in San Antonio, now the closing of the one in Corpus Christi. Each time people are left with no answers.

Drug offenses were filed on 3/28/1996, 9/29/1997, 07/29/1998, 03/29/2004
A theft charge was filed on 4/29/1999
On 10/4/2007 a case was filed for a car accident.
Printers Unlimited suit was filed 1/06/2005 and re-opened 2/09/2005
Another printer in Houston was never paid ... the list goes on and on ...
If you visit the Corpus Christi BBB you will find advertisers complaints, subscribers complaints and more freelancers.
His father is a lawyer, so he seems to get away with bully behavior, but now there are more than 20 current complaints of failure to pay, contracts not fulfilled to advertisers, subscriptions not sent.
Damon Gibson has talent but is a horrible human being and a dishonest business person. Publishers like him should not be allowed to keep taking advantage of freelancers and small business people. It hurts the whole community.
Damon Gibson is a spoiled rotten brat.

Damon Gibson will steal your money and tell you lies to your face! Don't believe anything this dirt bag says. This guy owes people money all over Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff, Padre Island, Port Aransas, Rockport and probably more places!!! Watch Out San Antonio or any other place. Damon Gibson will steal from YOU!!! From Drug & Theft Charges to Child Porn Charges to being nominated by a 100% vote for TURD OF THE MONTH on another website, everyone needs to know to STAY AWAY FROM DAMON, his lies, his workers, everything about him is bad!! He is an overweight, balding brat and his father is reportedly some type of law professor of 40 years, Damon says on another website, that his attitude, bad behavior and willingness to screw people over is in his blood! What a worthless Son of a B----! Does anyone know how to get in touch with this A--HOLES father? I would like to tell him a thing or two about the wothless, drug addict he raised.
