There is an add that is played repeatedly on hulu.com that is so shockingly wrong that the guy who is promoting it needs to be called out.  It's a political add so that may explain allot but this particular add is so outrageous and the promoters go to such great lengths to present a picture that is horribly inappropriate based on the facts presented that someone needed to say something.  Personally, I don't know either guy involved and would otherwise have no opinion on who is the better candidate, but after seeing what this Dewhurst guy has done to make the other guy Cruz look bad, there is no question that Dewhurst must be stopped.

Negative adds are to be expected and are effective when they expose the truth about another candidate that the public finds important.  But to take an ordinary situation that falls within the scope of a guys job and twist it around to make the guy look bad crosses the line.

That is exactly what this Dewhurst guy did in an add that has played hundreds of times on hulu.co.  The coward Dewhurst only appears at the beginning to say he approved the add.  He then attempts to discredit Ted Cruz for doing his job.  Dewhurst suggests that Cruz is a bad guy for representing a client that lost a lawsuit.  He doesn't say Cruz did a poor job instead he said Cruz did a good job and for some reason that makes him a bad person.

Notably Dewhurst uses a professional hillbilly as a spokesman who uses the incorrect terms for every point he makes, such as the defendant was found "guilty" (wrong- this was a civil case).  Notably the guy never identifies his position in the case as he mixes singular and plural pronouns throughout, obviously threading the line of a libel or slander suit but at the same time intentionally creating a perception that is so wholly unjustified that the guy should be sued for fraud.

Our system expressly provides for all parties to a lawsuit to have the right to be represented by counsel of their choice, even the parties that were wrong are entitled to defend their rights.  Maybe some idiot could find fault in that system but still it is our system and has been for a very long time.  So to suggest that Cruz did something wrong be representing the defendant in the primary part of the case and then in the post judgment part of the case makes the guy complaining about it (Dewhurst) either a complete moron or a complete fraud.  While the hillbilly spokesman might not know better, no doubt Dewhurst does.  Review the add and listen carefully to the narration as he tries to explain who he/they are and then brings the hammer down on the other guy for doing something that is as much a part of the job of being a lawyer as plowing a field is to a farmer.

And the fact they keep playing it over and over again is making me ill and thus motivated me to expose Dooshbag Dewhurts for the coward rippoff artist that he is.
