Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company designs dealer software.  Why would they buy the company that runs the nations trucking dispatch website?   I'll tell you why.   Dealers need to move cars.  If they can go directly to the truckers with orders to move cars they can avoid paying the Federal and state licensing fees that both brokers and carriers have to pay in order to conduct business.

Over a year ago they bought Central Dispatch (as it has been called for years).

No improvement to the website have taken place in over 12 months now. Dealertrack has been trying to figure out the software and provide a product for dealerships that will integrate the dispatch board with their dealer software.  Is this good for the consumer?   NO.   Why?  The bottom line is the monopoly of truck service eliminates competition in a very unfair way.  Consumers should be able to reach out to all trucks and get the best price possible to move their cars.  When Dealertrack took over central dispatch they trippled the rate to be a member.  They are squeezing out the small trucking companies that often offer the best price (less overhead).

Worse than this.... they allow trucking companies to buy pass the federal trucking regulations because they can now receive orders through the dealers without having to properly register their company with the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration).

The next big buy will be Dealertrack purchasing their own fleet of trucks.  They will continue to raise the rates for brokers and carriers and squeeze out the competition.  The attorney generals office in all 50 states should be looking into this monopoly and break it up.

There needs to be one website that allows all truckers and brokers to post their loads or dispatch their loads without the interference of dealerships.  Do you like the experience buying a car?  I don't.   Do you want your sales rep at the dealership to be able to mark up the price to transport your car too?   They can unfairly do this because Dealertrack has taken over Central Dispatch.

If I have to have a $75,000 bond to be a broker - every dealership should have to have a dedicated broker on staff that follows the same rules I have to follow.   How else would consumers be protected?

Once Dealertrack took over Central Dispatch both brokers and carriers have seen nothing improve with this company, many things have become worse and the rates have trippled.

It's bad enough I have to spend 4 hours at the dealer just to make the deal on my car.  Let's let the experts move them.  I don't want some loser kid at the dealer who knows nothing about these trucks or the drivers that move them, be responsible for assigning a truck to move my car.  Give me a break.  I want to speak directly to the expert brokers myself and make sure my transport is done right.

Why haven't they fixed they software in over 12 months?  The same problems have been causing trouble for brokers and carriers for over 12 months.  When I ask them to fix the problem they say they are : :working on the dealership software first".  That is a direct quote.

Do not invest in this company.  They are way over their heads.  They are great at gathering investors but they are terrible at building a product that works or that integrates smoothly with the main industry software that keeps trucks moving every day.  They don't hire enough help to serve the customers they have now.

I agree with the other report about this company.  If a competing nationwide dispatch board offers all brokers and carriers three free months of service... we would all jump over to the competitor.  Everyone that knows - is pissed off at Dealertrack and wish they would get their act together or get out of the industry.

I've been paying them a fee every month for years.  Not once have they called me and  asked "how are things going"?   "What can we do to help you improve the service"?   Never!!!   Try to call them - you can't even get through to a person and then that person tells you to post your complaint on line.  Total crap service.

Thank you for reading this - INVESTOR BEWARE.
