Whatever you do, do not use Deer Valley Mini & Storage. Their units are not protected from rain. I put my furniture in a unit just 3 weeks ago and it rained once. When I went to check on it there was water damage to my wood furniture, puddles of rusyy yellow water on my boxes and cartons, and the floor pad that I put down was soaking wet.
When I brought it to the attention of the owner, he said that it's not his fault that the roof leaked - it happens and he refused to do anything to help. All I asked was for him to get someone that can pull everything out, clean it off, and put it into a unit that is secure from this happening again. He refused, saying "I take no responsibility." Definately not a savy business man.
So there you have it. Be warned that the owner of this company does not stand behind his facility; apparently not confident that it is water proof. You can tell that he has had this conversation with unhappy tenants quite a few times as well. So, even though it does not rain as often in Phoenix, don't be fooled. The water run off on the roof is inadequate, and the water run off in the street is so slow that it cannot withstand the type of rain storms we get here in Phoenix (monsoon).
