Discount Blind And Shade Factory ripoff, extortion, fraudulent, LIARS Chandler Arizona
This Company and its owners need to be brought down! I am so grateful that others have gone on here with their stories and we are not alone. As a result we to have taken action against these criminals.
My husband and I ordered our shutters in May 2005 with a 6 weeek lead time. It is now December and we have nothing! After repeated calls that either went unanswered, disconnected, or nowhere at all, we attempted to get our money back. Kristen explained their so-called situation to me and actually had me feeling sorry for them. With that, I again gave them the benefit of the doubt only to get nothing in return. Fed up, we called the credit card company and began the process of having the charges reversed.
We received a call from "Dan", at the new manufactorers company. Dan indicated that he was contacted by Discount Blind and Shade and told to cancel our order. He explained to my husband that he has nothing to do with Discount Blind and would be paid for the job regardless of our canceling because he was already so far along on the order and wanted to help us out because he felt bad. "Dan" said he would deliver our product in 3 weeks without the middle man.
After this time came and went, my husband called "Dan" again. Dan then stated that he found out the company had filed bankruptcy and didn't know what to do, that he could no longer help us unless we paid an ADDITIONAL $800.00 to cover his costs since he wasn't going to be paid!
We have now learned that "Dan" is part of this whole scam and Discount Blind and Shade filed for bankruptcy and opened a new business under the name North American Shutters.
As far as I'm concerned they have now not only lied to us time and again, but have tried to extort even more money from us.
I urge everyone to file a claim with the Better Business Bereau as did I. THEY ARE GOING AFTER THESE PEOPLE! There are several reports on there that you can read and educate yourself about. I have advised them of Ken and Kristen's new undertaking and hope that their new business will go south in no time.
