What relationship do you have with David Patai, North American Shutters and Blind and Shade factory?? David Patai filed a DBA using the Los Feliz address for North American Shutters on 10/27/05. http://156.42.40.50/UnOfficialDocs/pdf/05-1627226_1.pdf ** David Patai filed a DBA, again at the Los Feliz address, for Blind and Shade Factory on 10/31/05. He uses YOUR home address as HIS address...S Marion in Chandler. http://156.42.40.50/UnOfficialDocs/pdf/05-1646889_1.pdf ** Why on 11/07/05 did Kristen Wolf file a Certificate of assumed name for a sole proprietorship for Blind and Shade Factory' in Wake County, North Carolina?? AGAIN, listing the Los Feliz address and the S. Marion in Chandler as her address?? http://156.42.40.50/UnOfficialDocs/pdf/05-1683470_1.pdf The ROC website currently shows 37 complaints against you. You state that you had no complaints until August of this year. In August of this year I went to the ROC and got copies of complaints. The earliest I have record of appears to have been filed in March of 2005.

Whatever Ken....the bottom line is your still a liar- you've been in trouble before for operating without a license in AZ and have opened another business. Where did you get the money to do that? And for being a business owner you can't spell! Instead of posting on this website like a chicken sht why don't you call us and explain. Better yet show up to the hearings with the ROC. So lets say you did get ripped off by Shoreline-you did the same thing to us so don't come crying and expect any sympathy. Be a man and pay up and stop crying like a little girl who got her hair pulled on the playground!

To: Ken Montoya, Okay, so we ordered our shutters back in July, from Discount Blind and Shade Factory. How is it that 12 weeks into not be able to locate my shutters, you were taking new orders. What happen to let's take care of these really old orders, before stealing money from somebody else. Why take money from innocent people to pay your debt?? You and Kristen knew full well what you were doing! Why not claim Bankruptsy back in Septemeber?......cleary you guys were already in trouble with this business. Why not tell people trying to place a new orders, we are currently not taking new orders at this time, seeing how we have not been able to fullfill our current orders. Where is your intregity? And it's sad to say that if your employees did you wrong, there was a reason. Maybe it's all they learned from you and Kristen. I have spoke with other victims, and just between our small group, we are out $12,000 dollars. Denise

I'll attempt to answer as many of these complaints as possible, however much of whats being presented as fact, is completely fabricated. Discount Blind and Shade Factory was a company that I opened in 2001, and if you'll research this fact at all, was current and without complaint until August of 2005. This is when Discount Blind and Shade Factory was subjected to fraud and swindled out of $300,000 - $500,000 by a vendor that produced shutters, namely Shoreline window fashions, in Oxnard Ca. I have never been subjected to this kind of misrepresentation in the twenty plus years that I've been in the window covering business, and being that this is the only career that I've ever really known, my only goal was to dig my way out of this situation. I had twenty plus employees whose livelyhood counted on this business, as well as a teriffic track record and solid business relationships, my thought was that if we could continue to press on, we could and would overcome this terrible setback. I unfortunately was wrong, not because we didn't try, but when your subjected to this kind of loss and then encounter unscrupulos acts by employees, namely theft and conficts of interest within the company, it was simply impossible to continue. This determination came in late November. With much reservation, I met with a lawyer to find out what if anything I could do to save this business. Our first intention was to file a chapter 11 bankrupcy, which would allow Discount Blind and Shade Factory the opportunity to continue to service current customers, but have some immediate relief from some vendors and lawsuit treats that had been building. It would have also given Discount Blind an Shade Factory the option of continuing to grow as a company in Arizona. This was discussed with all principles, including my vice-president of sales and marketing. We all agreed that this was the right move, I however was blindsided when, this person who had conspired with others in the staff, decided to up and leave and start thier own window covering company, namely Valley of the Sun Window Coverings, 90% of their staff consists of former Discount Blind and Shade Factory employees, This move not only cripled our intentions of salvaging the company, but also abandoned all the customers that they had sold product to, thus making any attempt to save this company impossible. At this point and with my legal counsel guidance, Our intention now is to take care of as many customers as possible, many of our customers who used credit cards have charged back thier card, even though they have gotten product installed, in an attempt to get something for nothing, this has also lead to our demise. I have NEVER filed bankrupcy in any way shape or form, so this is very new to me as well, however I have been told by my counsel that the bankrupcy court will assign a trustee to over see the liqiudation of all assets of the company as well as continue to try and collect as much of the accounts receivable as possible, this will hopefully contribute dollars towards the debt, owed to all of Discount Blind and Shade Factory customers and vendors. I will be assisting as much as possible in getting all acounts receivables collected and bringing in as much as is possible, and rightly owed to this company, to get funds to as many customers as possible Discount Blind and Shade Factory will be filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy as soon as the funds for doing so are available, hopefully as soon as Tuesday of next week. My sincere wish was that customers of Discount Blind and Shade Factory would not suffer from these issues, unfortunately I know that there will be those that do, for that I'm truly sorry. Three On Your Side came out to my home and did a story on Discount Blind and Shade Factory. I was told that it should be on Thursday between 6:00 and 6:30. Maybe they can do something for all of us who have been wronged. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you wanted to tune in.
