Discountbooksale.com is the same company as Smartsavingscenter.com. I purchased a book from this company w/free shipping and they automatically signed me up with this so called savings club. It hasn't saved me a dime. I tried to cancel it as soon as I received the email saying that I was so graciously automatically enrolled in it from my book purchase with free shipping. That's where they get you...the "Free Shipping". Shipping on books is discounted by the USPS anyway so this company is making huge profits by not cancelling the memberships. I received a refund for the $29 some odd dollars for the first charge but every month they are charging me $1.00 hoping I won't bother to do anything about it since it's only $1.00. I've called my bank to dispute the charges they told me that this company is pulling this scam with everyone. They get over 200 calls a day about this company and fraudulent charges.
Be forwarned, I'm sure this company also operates other businesses in this manner. I've also made a purchase with JCPenny online and they too automatically signed me up with another so called savings/discount membership co which I also immediately cancelled.
By the way, I've also asked their employees how it feels to work for a company that is doing this type of thing to their customers.
