This is not the place to take a computer. My computer
crashed so I thought I would take it to a local, not chain repair shop. That
was a very bad mistake. When I dropped it off in the afternoon at DK Systems I
told them that I thought it may be the video card. They quoted me a price on a
new card that was about 4 times what most cards cost and the labor was high to
install it. I filled out some papers and agreed to a $75.00 dollar diagnostic deposit.

I was told that it might
be looked at in around two days. They took the computer and placed it on the
floor with lots of other computers. Not sure why they keep the computers on the
floor and not shelving.

I had second thoughts about bringing the computer in for
repair and decided that it was old and I would buy a new one. I went back to DK
Systems the very next morning and found that my computer had not been moved
from the spot that it was placed when I brought it in. I told the guy that I
was going to buy a new computer and I would like my computer back. He handed me
my computer and I asked for my $75.00 back. He said NO. I asked him if they had
looked at it and he said NO. He refused to return my money.  I talked to the owner and he told me the same
thing.

You can bet that DK was not the place I was going to buy new
computer.

I went to Best Buy to look for a computer and told the sales
person about my experience with DK. He asked me if I had the computer with me,
I did. He told me to take it over to the repair counter (yes the geek squad) and
they could probably help me. The guy at the repair counter opened it up removed
the video card and replaced it with a new one and found that it was not a bad
card. He tested a few other things and it turned out to be the mother board. It
took him about 10 minutes  to find the
problem.

 I went on the hunt
for a new computer and found a good deal there at Best Buy
