DPD Pools Every claim before and after I placed & paid for order was a lie Niagara Falls New York
I placed an order for a pool liner on April 27, 2007. I used my bank card for the purchase & the charge appeared on my account on April 30th.
The website says "
95% Of our orders ship the same day. This means you get your pool supplies & equipment, FAST! All in stock orders ship the same day if ordered by 2:00 EST." This is taken directly from their website under ABOUT US.
On Mon, May 7th I tried to track my order from the confirmation email I received. There is a link in the email that takes you to the website & it give you the status of your order.
My order had been in the P status for several days already:
P- Order Should Ship Within 1-3 Business Days, Unless Items Ordered Specify Otherwise. Also taken directly from their website.
There was a link at the bottom of the page:
If you have questions about your order click here. This took me to a form to fill out. When I submitted the form there was a message that I would receive a response within 24 hours. There was no response, so I sent an email again the next 3 days.
By this time I really started to worry so I started investigating. There was a phone number next to the charge on my bank account.
No Answer. Then I Googled DPD Pools & came upon a BBB report. It said the company was found to be reliable-but there were 59 complaints in the last year and only 1 resolution. I did find an 800 number on the BBB website though for DPD Pools. Then I started trying to reach them this way. It was a total dead end. Every extension they told you to dial directed you to the website and to click on contact us. I knew that was not going to work. I finally found a option that told me all operators were on the phone with a wait time of more than 10 minutes & to go back to the website. I pressed 0 and was able to leave a voicemail, but no one called me back.
I decided yesterday to go back to the BBB report to see if there was any info that I missed & the report was no longer there. It was being updated. Hopefully this means that they finally decided that 1 resolution out of 59 reports was NOT reliable after all. I found a toll-free number the the BBB & called and filed a report yesterday.
I have also found a BIZRATE report of 2 different complaints similar to mine & both of those people say that DPD Pools just cancelled their orders. One of them mentioned a restocking fee.
It's just a total ripoff & no way to contact them. The 800 number is a virtual Black Hole.
