BUYER BWARE !!!! BUYER BEWARE !!! BUYER BEWARE !!!
The ebay seller 1outboard touts their 100% feedback but the reality is that less than 10% of their feedback is as a seller. From that amount they have less than 10 sales for items over $2000 in the last 3-4 years.
After buying a motor from them we discovered that the motor was full of reused, old, and worn out parts. The cylinder head was all beat up and damaged and compression was low in one cylinder due to warpage in the head. The glopped a bunch of liquid gasket to seal it up. There was all kinds of sediment in the carbs, It had a non matching carb on it that was from a 115 hp model and not the 150. It was leaking water our mechanic just couldnt believe that it only had 60 hours on it since a complete reman.
They bragged about some kind of plateau finish but our mechanic claims the motor was never bored out and not even honed. One piston appears new plus that head is the one all chewed up ( probably from failure damage they repaired) other are not.
they did the bare minimum to get it running and disguised it with a fancy new paint job and decals and decals. Even my water pump was old and worn.
From the day it was mounted it ran like crap, idled rough, wouldnt make rpm, and fouled plugs continuously. My friend has the same boat with a 135 merc and he passes me with my 150 like i am standing still and ill be empty and hell have three onboard
The motor looked great and I was all excited the reality is that it was a polished up piece of sh* comprised of used parts from junk motors with a fancy new paint job to catch a sucker
I was screwed and found all kinds of trashtalk on them on the internet.
PLUS THE BIG SCAM is that they bill you under some company named blackbird indsutries.. I searched google and almost passed out reading all the junk on these scammers.
