I was hired by Ed Bahl to do research work through an internet freelance service in January 2007. Ed Bahl posted a project, I bid on the project to do the work, and he hired me. The job was to locate online accident report URL's for multiple states. Upon completion of the first few states, he wanted me to continue with the research for a number of other states as well. Ed was very supportive at first and happy with the results but when I started turning up fewer results for some of the states, Ed quit contacting me. This was not my fault at all, the fact of the matter is that available URL's vary by state.

I did 40+ hours of intensive research work for Ed Bahl. The total money due is $295. I have never received a penny of this money. I have made several collection efforts to no avail.

It seems that Ed Bahl has the "get rich quick mentality". He has several companies that I know about including: NaturesNaturalWater.com, TechConnectUSA.com, and RestaurantMenus4U.com. His companies and business efforts seem to come and go.

Please stay away!!! Don't do any work for this man.

This report was filed as a means to get Ed Bahl to make good on a debt for services rendered. He simply did not want to pay up after I was finished as the results of the research were not as he expected. Please keep in mind that several attempts were made to contact him for the money before resorting to ripoffreport.com. If you read this entire report you will find his comments to be illogical and of no value whatsoever. For further proof, type his name in the search bar on this website and you will see that this is not the only complaint filed against him.

Mr. Bahl, I have already given you an out on paying the money just because I have already wasted too much of my valuable time and energy on dealing with you. Yet you don't have enough sense to stop there. I know that I am right and that is enough for me. No, I am not calling you. It's not because I fear you by any means. It is simply that I realize it is just a waste of time. I am not gullible enough to actually believe that you wish to make good on your payment. After seeing how you behave in a public forum, I realize that speaking to you would just be frustrating and pointless.

Erica, It's time to tell the truth

Have you ever noticed that some people try to scam other people by claimimg they've actually done work that they in reality have NOT! Erica is the perfect example, and in this case she continues to lie about the work she claimed to perfrom when in reality she did nothing a five year old could not do. The real problem I have is that Erica refuses to print her entire name or any other contact information on this web site (why is that?). So basically she's just another spineless coward that wants to get paid for doing nothing or close to nothing. Here is my public offer to Erica, respond to this rebuttal with your full name and mailing address and I will send you a certified cashiers check for one half the amount you claim you are owed (which is more than you deserve any way). So Erica, you decide what the next step is. Put up or SHUT UP! Ed Bahl 303-877-6567

Erica, (If that's your real name) You've gone way too far this time. You have one of two choices, send me an email with your address and I will pay you for the actual hours you worked (what a joke that is), or keep up your cleaver words of deceit and face the consequences. Do you care to call me, or do you have the nerve to actually talk to me with you so called complaint. Rest assured that I will now post your untruthfl comments on Elance for others to read. As you just said, what comes around goes around. Ed Bahl 303-877-6567

How Wrong You Are, Ed Bahl!

It really is odd that this is the first time Ed Bahl has actually mentioned any of this to me. I made numerous attempts to contact him and get payment from him and he never bothered to respond in any manner. It is only in a public forum that he throws accusations my way. Mr. Bahl's "simple research that only a ten year old could do" was simply a terrible idea in the first place. However, it was not my place to question his idea as he hired me. He was looking to market information that just was not available as he assumed it would be. And - when it was available it was already free as a public service. The online accident report URL's are available in some counties in some states but most definitely not all of them. I was not looking to "milk" the project as he puts it. I was being thorough by screening each county in each state assigned in the hopes that I would find what he was looking for (therefore doing my job). This, I am sure you can see, was a lengthy task. This project was divided into the initial part which was a flat fee of $50. Once I finished this he wanted me to go ahead with additional states. I can assure you that I spent way more time than anyone should for this small amount (it was approximately 2 days as I recall). However, this is the initial amount I told him so I did the work. It was my error to not wait for pay for the initial amount before resuming. Ed comes off as a nice guy in the beginning! The remaining portion of the work for $245 took at least a solid week to complete. Mr. Bahl, I too went to graduate school. I have worked in research at one of the top university medical centers in the United States. I assure you I know precisely how to efficiently conduct some elementary online research. You think this should have only taken a few hours? Perhaps you are not as adept as you think. I noticed you have apparently never been introduced to spell check. Mr. Bahl, before you were suspended from the freelance service for nonpayment of my fees, I took a look at your previous feedback. Imagine my surprise (or not) when I saw that you had done this to someone else. Let's just say that I have learned a bit about derogatory behavior from dealing with you. Mr. Bahl, I have read your response to the other lady on this forum who had the guts to report you. Needless to say, you exhibit the behavior of a bully. Your behavior is quite appalling actually. Instead of trying to settle matters in a civil matter when given the opportunity, you act in a very unbecoming manner. I have wasted enough time and energy dealing with your pathetic behavior. It is my firm belief that what goes around comes around. I have no doubt that you will one day pick on the wrong person.

What Eric failed to tell you is that she was to be paid upon completing the task in a satisfactory manner which she did not. All I asked for was some siple research that a ten year old could have done in a few hours. Instead Eric apparently tried to "milk" the project and bill me fr excessive hours. I certainly have no issue paying people for a job performed; however, when someone tries to bill you for fraudulent hours in order to receive more money, that's not right.
